Guild Leader Left

So on my guild our leader left, and he didn't say anything. No we want to promote one of our officers to leader and there is no way to get rid of our old leader since he was in charge. How do we go about changing that up?

As far as I am aware the only way a leader can change is if they do it themselves. I had a similar problem with my last guild-so we threw a mutiny and all left to make a new guild. None of us regret our decision.
My advice, if you do decide to leave, is have an officer use all the coins on raids first. No reason having those coins that YOU ALL earned go to waste.
Whoever is going to be the new leader/officers should also make sure everyone who is coming be allied with them so they can be invited. This will be easier than when we did it, since the ally cap was raised.
Give your mates some time after you leave to join up, and make sure the message gets around before you do it.
