mod challenges harder?

I have been doing tier 2 of empire potency mods on auto as of late with 2* completion many of times.
Today I can not beat it playing it myself even, what gives?

Anyone else experience this?

never mind.. somewhere along the lines of the updates maybe my leader got switched out... FFS
