It's not too bad if you can clear GW daily... tons of credits there. The upper tier training droids get harder to come by later on, which becomes the real barrier to leveling up.

IG86 is certainly worth upgrading!!! I usually get people to 6*,then I plan the order of who gets to 7*. If you try to upgrade too many people at once, you go broke...
