What does the status effect, daze, do?

I saw it on the abilities one of my ships when they came out last night, and on my last arena attack just now my Darth Maul dazed 3/5 enemies on his AOE attack. Unfortunately, my opponent's Rex moved next and cleansed them all off immediately before I could highlight over them to see what it does.

Out of energy for a bit so I can't try again.

So, what does daze do, and do any other characters have it?

Been playing less than a month, but I'm pretty sure I haven't ever seen that status effect come up before today.
