Don't try to make Barriss hit hard. It's just not gonna happen. She's a healer and nothing much else.

You can make Fives hit relatively hard, but his main strength is how often he hits with his high counter chance. I'd suggest going for health and defence mods for him, so that it takes a long time for him to go down. If your enemies take two of three shots to bring him down, you're not going to get much use out of his counter chance and bonus counter damage.
