Too much Sodium is bad for you

Known health problems too much salt can have on your health

1. High Blood Pressure
2. Hypertension
3. Dehydration
4. Water Retention leading to Kidney issues
5. Cardiovascular Disease
6. Osteoporosis
7. Cancer has also been linked to a high salt diet

With this in mind, a lot of people on this site will be dead by January

So lets try and put the the salt shaker every once in awhile on these forums, it is becoming toxic and hinders any real productive conversation.

I sincerely hope everyone has a good holiday and is happy

  • Actually, if you drink enough water and exercise regularly, you won't have any problems with excess salt. And cancer being linked to a high salt diet has nothing to do with salt. Processed foods, which contain a lot of salt, also contain a lot of cancer causing chemicals.

Just trying to inform you guys that you should not fear salt. You should fear lack of exercise and poor nutrition

  • Exercising does not change your hereditary issues and it does not fix most of the issues he listed. I don't know about the cancer, but the others aren't fixed with exercise. You pretty much have enough salt in anything you eat and don't need to add more.
