For me the biggest issue is the weighted drop rate. If the odds are not equal then the odds should be displayed. This goes for gear also.
That is probably the biggest problem I have with it myself. It's definitely not true odds on rolling the characters from the packs. Just release a 499 crystal pack for each individual character and let people buy what they want instead.
What is the comparison of worth between shards and crystals anyways? In shipments 50 to 80 crystals is worth one shard, so the expected amount of shards you get from this pack are 24 to 15, it does sound pretty fair
State lottery commission: "buy powerball ticket every. U have a CHANCE at the 300mil jackpot!"
200mil losers: "we are outraged you sold us garbage!"
Yeah, however, the odds for participating in a State lottery are readily available. In this case, the only information provided (aside from a checkered pack history) is the pack description. If the description is misleading, then it seems fair to be upset with the description.
Anyhow, I too am disappointment regarding this pack's description. I found it misleading and very likely false ("may appear" is quite different from "will appear")
Sad thing is that this pack was exciting for people like me who are missing last 20 shoretrooper shards 35 chirrut shards and 15 baze shards. I am sure there are thousands of ppl who had the same hype about the packs since tourney results WILL push anyone to buy them to get to next toon lvl..
It is unacceptable that the the pack catches players psycology in the right manner cause it exactly looks like what we could need but once again; it's a mess

I think you completely missed the point of the OP.

Well if the information isn't there just don't buy it until there is more information. There's nothing else to it

For some, perhaps many, 1 shard of SRP is not quite as valuable as 1 shard of ST, but to each their own

Fool me once shame on u, fool me twice shame on me. When we see such a complaint post virtually (if not) every time they release a pack that gives non guaranteed shards/chars/gear sets, it doesn't take a genius to figure out that the "chance" implies the odds are heavily tilted again customers. If you continue to buy them and then be disappointed/angry with what you got, who do u think is the problem? They never promised you anywhere that the odds of obtaining each toon is equal. The only way to stop their practice is to actually STOP buying them, not threatening to. You can point to all the complaints in the forum you want. They have the actual purchase pattern data to back up what they are doing.
Your complete dogs cg this pack is just full of srp why have cool characters on the cover and none in the pack @Mvnson you dont expect to be continually decieved why do they even do it we going to get our wallet out anyway
I was really hoping I could 7* CI with this pack, but from doing the math it is going to cost me $7 to $10 per CI shard and I need 180 of them. Over $1000 just to take a 5* character to 7*.

Sounds about right. Seems long gone are the days you could spend $100-$200 for a new character. It costs thousands now and that probably won't change anytime soon. People are buying these packs, chromiums, etc hoping to remain competitive but there will always be something better around the corner. The cycle won't stop so you really need to think about what you are really getting out of your thousands (or how very little).

I fell for it as well buying many of these packs today before seeing this post. Seeing the cover and characters they displayed I was excited but, as you may suspect, I was not very happy with the results as I opened my packs. I just chalked it up to bad RNG on my part. However, after seeing this post, I agree, the OP is spot on. The rarest shards ONLY fall in the same positions that he claims with the easily farmable ones accounting for rest of the pack.
This absolutely disgusts me. None of the other packs I have bought were structured like this. Because of these packs, I have made a decision as of today. Enough is enough.

The entire premise is you have a chance. A massively low chance statistically, but it is still possible. In this case it is decidedly impossible, given you are always going to get Bistan, SRP.
Haha, that must be why there is a little note at the bottom of the pack description that says:
*Duplicate Character Shards sets may occur.
Personally I think that note should be at the top and in bold letters.
Again, there is a huge technical difference between "may" and "will". If someone has a 15% chance to get multiple Shoretrooper drops, they may be willing to purchase in good confidence, understanding the risk. However as is that situation is impossible. The "may"disclaimer doesn't cover that.
If I at least knew I'd get 5 shoretrooper shards I'd think about it sadly. Him sitting at 45/50 since the tourney's still has be bummed. Wish he had an andronium.!
Why didn't you buy an SRP/Shore pack? That would have gotten you 10 shards.
Overly bitter about not getting one for free at the time since I'm on iOS.
I had to give it to the man ya know... now I'm like a battered spouse wishing I could back to then. =(
I actually thought the Shoretrooper/SRP pack was fine. I actually got a 30 shard and 20 shard pull for Shoretrooper and a 20 shard pull of SRP out of the packs I bought. Not sure how many packs I bought but I got Shoretrooper to 7* and got enough shards to get SRP to 6* (which I have subsequently gotten enough for 7* now with the Cantina double drops).
Shoretrooper at 7* and gear 10 has really helped my Arena team!

Wrong. According to people's posted buys, slot 2 is apparently the only slot where u will get the desired characters people want. Which means it is possible to max any of the advertised toons if you throw enough money at it. They never promised you every slot has equal chance at every potential toon. So again you are assuming/hoping for something they never promised.

Actually they clearly stated that duplicate characters MAY occur. That statement can only be true if there is a chance for duplicate characters NOT to occur. If a casino used this sort of wording with this sort of setup they would get sued, and they would lose.

I thought Abraham Lincoln said that to Winston Churchill during the zombie apocalypse.

That'd anger me something fierce.

Rofl yea you are right. I forgot that the pack is only available for 12 days

Pack 1:
I.05 million credits (YAY!)
7 SRP shards, total
5 Shoretrooper
3 Cassian
13 Bistan
Pack 2:
525k credits (Okay, not bad...)
5 SRP shards
5 Baze
2 Chirrut
12 Bistan
3 Green ability mats...
