Since mods are important in every aspect of the game and it's hard to create a good mod set for all your characters, I would like to share my method of mod swapping. The idea is that you only use 5 maxed out mod sets. A mod set consists of 6 mods with your desired stats (crit damage and health, for example).
These 5 mod sets are usually on arena squad, but when your guild starts a Raid, you move these 5 mod sets to your Raid characters. When you complete the Raid, you move the 5 mod sets back to your arena squad. This way, you only need to farm 5 x 6 = 30 mods, instead of 120+ mods. It takes some time to move them around, but with the technique in the video below it should not take much time
Video description:
- Create 5 'mod sets'
- Lock them via the mod symbol
- Move the sets around, 1 mod set at a time
- You can apply mods by picking them out via the lock symbol
In the video you see that I am moving 2 mod sets.
PS. I hope, that, in the future, CG will add a button to remove all mods from 1 character with 1 click
I've thought about something similar to this. But I believe you would want more than 5, because your Arena squad will be more vulnerable while you are in your raid. Seems like you would need your Arena and Ship mods to be fixed at all times, and another set of 5 to rotate for raids/GW/whatever.
@evanbio , yes, you are correct that your arena rank might drop while you're doing your Raids. And of course there's ships with ships pilots who need mods as well.
I usually fight my way back up in the arena after I put them back on. I haven't invested that much in ships actually. Except for JC, my pilots do not have mods on them. I found is too much of a hassle to remove them each time we're doing a Raid, and to put them back on afterwards
So for me it's just the 5 mod sets. 10 mod sets is probably better for others
