Health mod bug? Or just my confusion?

So I'm trying to understand the set bonus for the health mods. Here is what happens if I remove all mods from Boba: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0XoHr04fny-al8wZmxSdkxVM1U/view?usp=sharing

It says I would end up with 7995 health. Then I add two Level 15 health mods, with no health in their primary or secondary stats: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0XoHr04fny-SjNEakFDR2VzSWs/view?usp=sharing

This would take my health up to 8366. But that's 371 extra health, and 371 is only 4.64% of 7995. Shouldn't I be getting a 5% health bonus?

It's an "issue" with gear. Mods only modify the stat of the last completed gear set. So any health added by the current set isn't in that base number, used for the calculation.

You have to subtract any heath added by gear at the current gear level. Than do the % to see what the mods add.

    Example
Character has 5300 health at g8
There is a peice of gear adding 300 health at gear 8.
Modded health with 2 health mods
    5300 + (5000*0.05)=5550

    Whew, ok!
This doesn't appear to be a bug because the max set bonus from the mods set only applies to full gear. In this case the max set bonus only applies to the stats from Gear Level 10 and the other pieces of gear listed has as progress towards Gear Level 11 are not counted in because it's not full (You haven't reached gear level 11 yet). Hope this helps!

    Thanks! That explains it perfectly.

Did you confirm taking the mods off before re-applying them to see the difference? Because that will cause the stats screen to judge the difference based on what they would be without confirming the change

No, I did not confirm, because that would have charged me the credits, and I had no intention of actually removing my mods. But confirmation was not necessary. The numbers worked out perfectly after I subtracted the 560 health which was coming from my current partial gear set.

Oh, I see what you meant now
