Barriss' Heal (question and explanation)

Why does Barriss' heal override heal immunity? Multiple times I heal block whoever. Lumi tries and no heal, Barriss tries and heals them right up while the heal block is still on them...

We really need a sticky somewhere explaining this...

Barris has two components to her heal:

1) A weak heal based on her health
2) An equalization of all ally's health %

Heal immunity stops the first but not the second, it is working as intended.

Weird because common sense would say "equalizing health" is the same as a heal. If your health is in the red and now it's in the grenn...You've been healed lol.

Not directing that comment to you as I appreciate the information, I just think it's kinda silly they made it that way.

Barris is a valuable charater in gw, but worthless in arena imo. Once you hit level 69 I would farm her to 7 star out of cantina over dooku hands down.

Agree with the equalization comment, it's confusing but just the way it is.

Barriss can actually hurt her own team. Against me in GW today she was just barely alive when she used health equalization, and the other three toons dropped from green to yellow.

That's when Maul took everyone out. He rules.

Its not a heal, tho and common sence would not dictate otherwise (im not being rude here)

Its termed differently because she draws health from "fuller" toons and re-distributes it to "emptier" toons.

It functions like a welfare system tbh lol. Where you are viewing her equalization as a heal on 1 toon (your ignoring whats happening to the other 4) the other 4 are having thier health lowered.

Healing is generating health from nowhere. She does that as well. And its blocked by healing debuff's but since equalization is not healing, its not debuffed by healing debuffs. And since the devs neutered her healing (now the lowest heal in the game)(and bear in mind until now she eas a premium only toon and ritefully should be the best in the business) her equalization is all shes good for along with her leader ability for GW tbh lol.

No offence to the poster but in general, answering and explaining this is getting quite old.
Same applies to newer players who are have not yet got to endgame and expanded their rosters wanting dooku nerf'd. We need a sticky explaining why hes a well balanced, decent toon as well to stave off all the posts

Whoa I didn't mention. Dooku. I am not that guy lol. Relax the game isn't that old lol. And with all the whine posts.. Well expecting newer players to read thru a thousand pages of whines is silly. No one is going to do that. The issue with a sticky is they cram too much nonsense into it. So you get 700 posts and I should spend hours reading that or I could just ask...which would you do? I am not saying she should be need at all. But, after 51 levels I'd never had that happen so I figured I would ask. Kinda the point of the forums.

I get that it's an equalization and not a heal although it does the same thing. The issue with @Abyss explanation is the other toons were max so my target was red, everyone else is full green and now everyone is green. Call it a droid **** if you want but that's a heal lol.

I agree with others that it's all she has going for her, and I get it with the explanations. I appreciate all the info. However I do like her. She hits hard for my level and squad and as long as you apply her heal early it's awesome. Had a learning curve where she was the last alive and I learned her heal is useless then lol. I was just curious if it was a bug or not, and now I know. So thanks all.

As an aside, they should make sticky's with a table of content links so I can read about whoever specifically instead of having to read ten pages of how dooku should be nerfed or whatever. The links could go to other threads or be self contained but that's something for a forum person to do lol. All toons should have a guide and a sticky with links to each.

I just used ur comment for the first part haha, was not taking a shot at you at all and just explaining the difference between a heal and equalization (cause its different and functions differently) and you know as well as i do that ALOT of ppl misunderstand that and/or are misinformed about it. For the record i like her too. She shreat for GW as leader or just on the main team.

if the ai plays barris, of course it could end up bad, but generally with the proper backing she does well at least until the half way point, then you switch up to some proper dps.

Maul is another 7* chromium character who finds his way on the bench at high level sadly enough. Don't waste your money, I've done that for you already.

Yes. It is total ****. Makes her teams nearly invincible. Her healing is immune to the healing immunity.

It's not a heal. What she basically is doing is adding up all of your teams hp then dividing by the number members you have left:
Eg you have 5 characters alive
4 of them are at hp 10
1 of them is at hp 5
She adds them all up =45 dividing it by 5 for each member gives them 9 hp each
I dot understand the confusion in this lol

All you have to do is use the search function and make sure you limit it to posts where Bariss is in the title.

All you have to do is use the search function and make sure you limit it to posts where Bariss is in the title.
