QGJ leader skill in GW vs Arena

I faced a few QGJ led teams today in GW and noticed something interesting. His leadership skill seemed to apply to the first round, unlike in Arena. I had to put up a Poe team against these groups and all of the enemy team Jedi characters went before Poe.
Has anyone else noticed this? Is this a bug or working as intended?

  • Yes, it's a bug that affects speed-increasing leadership abilities in arena.
  • So the functionality is correct in GW and broken in Arena, not the other way around? Has this been confirmed by CG?
  • Thank you, that clears things up. Though the Dev didn't quite say that it's a bug they are looking into, which is disappointing. Guess I'll have to build up a Jedi team to use in GW for now!
  • Is it possible things are different in GW because it all depends on how the turn meters ended up in your previous battle?

Example: maybe you finish off battle 1 with Poe shooting his blaster. In battle 2 Poe can't act first because he just took a turn.

I'm not even sure if that's how it works - anyone? In the meantime I'll keep this in mind during tomorrow's GW.

Also according to this theory, battle 1 of GW would have to be more like the Arena - randomized first (which may not be the case).

QGJ would be an awesome leader in GW if Bariss' leadership wasn't so awesome. I might play around with him Lumni and Bariss to see how good the speed is. Bariss gets a bit better at level 70 with a 20 percent health increase for Jedi and half that for non Jedi.. Some fail in GW because thier dps is too high believe it or not. The key to GW is enough turns to refresh cooldowns and to end the match with 90 percent health or better. Its not just about winning. Bariss is always my lead unless the second to last or last battle
  • Past 2 days Ive used ,qgj as lead, luminara, jc, ftop n leia......has worked great qgl got me thru 9th node before he was a goner, took a few battles to get a feel for luminara n jc with there new rotation...but it was real nice(lost dooku somewhere in 1st 9 also)

This would actually make a lot of sense. GW is basically one long Arena fight, so the leadership speed mechanic would only be the same as Arena in the first match.

No it is not. That is true for LS/DS/cantina, your previous turn-meters carry onto subsequent battles. Every GW fight is a completely new battle hence the speed acts just like arena with the sole exception of speed leaders being enabled even in first turn.
