Teebo bugged while deathmarked in pit raid — reproduced and prooved with screenshots.

I just had this happen 2 days ago:

In a pit raid phase 1, with brute/guard already dead, my Teebo leader got deathmarked. He didn't have the stealth icon nor was his body greyed out. As I used Teebo's scramble tactics, he should have gained the stealth icon, his body should have been greyed out and the deathmark should have been removed (according to the description of deathmark it will be removed if the unit gains stealth). None of this happened. However, on his next few turns Teebo could still remove TM (still no stealth icon and his body was displayed normally). As soon as the deathmark cleared (at the end of one of Teebo's turns) the stealth icon appeared above his head.

The captain didn't take any turns while Teebo had the deathmark, so I don't know wether teebo truly had the deathmark taking extra damage or wether it was only a display bug.

Long story short:
Teebo's stealth is bugged while he's deathmarked.

Please help verify this, if you have an upcoming pit raid. Thanx :—)

Here is a screenshot of Teebo with deathmark, no stealth and scramble tactics in 5 turns CD:

  • Had the exact same thing happen to me yesterday, again the guards didn't get a turn before deathmark dispelled so I'm not sure if he would take the extra damage

    Hiya!
We've tested this issue and successfully dispelled Deathmark on three characters (including Teebo) by entering stealth. Used same team as present on the photo linked.

Thank you for investigating the issue and trying to reproduce it.

I don't know what other conditions need to be met for the issue to happen. Since not many have reported the issue, I guess it's very rare.

In my guild we currently have an active pit raid with still half a day until we are allowed to do any damage. I could play around with airplane mode on and try myself.

    Hello again,

After about a 15 attempts (with retreats) I managed to reproduce the issue. Just as I suspected. Try this:

Precondition: Teebo is stealthed from his leader ability.

Step 1: Captain debuffs Teebo with Deathmark. Teebo's body is now fully visible. He now has no stealth icon but has the deathmark icon.

Step 2: On his next turn Teebo uses scramble tactics, and...voila! Teebo's body is now fully visible still and he has no stealth icon. The Deathmark icon is still there. Scramble tactics is on 5 turns cooldown.

Step 3: On his next turn Teebo uses his basic. It removes TM from the Captain even though he doesn't have the stealth icon and is fully visible.

So, the condition was that Teebo was stealthed before he received the death mark.

I have a series of screen shots that prove the above. I will upload them tomorrow. It's time for me to get some sleep now :—)

A possible explanation is that during step 1 Teebo enters a state where he is actually still stealthed even though he visually appears non—stealthed. Then in step 2 it would make sense that death mark isn't removed since Teebo doesn't GAIN stealth since he's already in some bugged stealth state.

I don't know how the deathmark mechanics are — is it supposed to remove stealth or not in step 1?

    To proove my findings:

Previous to the first picture, Teebo was stealthed from his leader ability as he received death mark. Also Phasma recently used her VM putting several team members on full TM.

    Pic 1:

Teebo has deathmark, but no stealth icon and his body is fully visible.

Please notice Teebo's offence up buff and that both he and QGJ are on full TM.

    Pic 2:
Teebo has just used Scramble Tactics. Deathmark is stil present, Teebo has no stealth icon and is fully visible.

Please notice that Teebo's offence up expired as he took his turn. Teebo's TM is still at 100% TM due to Scramble Tactics. The Captains health is unchanged (Scramble tactics doesn't do any damage).

    Pic 3:
QGJ has just used his basic. It's Teebo's turn once again. Scramble Tactics is on 5 turn cooldown. Teebo has no stealth icon, is fully visible and has deathmark.

Please notice the slight damage QGJ did and the change in his TM. Also note that Teebo only has his basic attack available.

    Pic 4:

Teebo has just used his basic which then remove all of the Captains TM.

Please notice the slight change in the Captain's health and that he has no TM. Also note that Teebo's advantage expired as he just took his turn.

Must be some weird interaction with the new stacking stealth mechanic.

My guess is that the taunt applied by the deathmark is overriding the stealth that is why he is visable
So he still has stealth buff it is just hidden because dm taunt is active.

Not sure why stealth didn't dispel the deathmark.

    @CG_Kozispoon something is definitely bug.
The key for testing as Op said is teebo needs to be stealthed when he gets deathmark
Here is a video. Teebo was stealthed got death mark, still able to remove TM. Uses his scramble tactics deathmark stays and he is still removing tm like a boss.

    https://youtu.be/8lejylqCoe0

If teebo is not stealthed when he gets deathmarked his leader stealth or his scramble tactics will remove deathmark as expected. It is only if he received deathmark while stealthed that it goes weird.

Edit: So I think I figured out what is happening. With the recent update all buffs are tracked separately so lead stealth, scramble tactics stealth, taunt are all separately tracked. It was also made so that if a stealthed character gains taunt they will keep the stealth buff but taunt takes priority. So here is what I think is happening.
    1. Teebo is stealthed by lead ability
    2. Teebo gets deathmarked which will also gives him taunt so now he has taunt_buff and stealth_buff
    3. He then uses his scramble tactics to give him multi turn stealth however since he never lost the previous stealth_buff from his lead the game doesn't see him as gaining it so it doesn't remove the deathmark or the taunt_buff.

So fixing Teebo really did break something else.

Did your team verify this yet? Is it WAI or a bug?

I'm quite sure, it should be listed as a bug, but I'm not the specialist her :—)
