Can't select a saved squad for events?

Is this on purpose or an oversight? I have all of these squads saved I use for raids, GW, and arena but I have to individually select characters for events?

These events don't have the ability to select teams with the new method.
I have an events tab for all of the other recurring events and it works great.
I made one in the saved squads area, but it currently only works for recurring events, not these new 1 time events
