Meh. Would rather be able to demolish guildies for better rewards. Socialism doesn't work and surely won't have me trying very hard for equal rewards.....What's the point of making extra ordinary effort for an equal sized slice of pie? Give me your teamwork babble all you want, this is honest talk here.......

Glad you are not in my guild

I recruited @danrussoa into mine, so you are all safe. You're welcome ;-)

It's true. After tense negotiating, I have executed a 6 month deal with DoE. Congratulations DoE!

Can't be bothered to read all that's come before, but here's what.

Currently, once you're done with GW, Arena, Fleet Arena, raid, there's no game left unless you pay.

Contrast this to a game like WoTB, where you can play at any time. Yes, for a grind benefit, sure. It's minimal.

We need to be able to play at any time. Not necessarily to gain loot, but to be better players.

Either let guild members pit a few teams against each other with the option of commenting on performance (increasing guilds as a value), or make this new war stuff a free-to-play-at-any-time stunt.

    Mic drop

You should probably pick your mic back up as I don't see one clever or insightful point within your rambling.
  • So many unknowns....

Biggest elephant in the room is will this cause elites to leave guides. Everyone is rewarded equally, but if a whale guide can finish an event every day, while a weaker guide might take two days... Your going to have a exodus...

It's ticket based like raids (if I'm not mistaken ) so anyone who gets it on a farming schedule will complete the same number per week.

There will always be an "exodus" this is unavoidable. The game is filled with players who want everything the first day. In the long run guilds that stay together have more fun, become friends and are happier. IMO

I miss the competeivness in the guilds and with equal rewards that dosent help now you will just have only half the guild participate while the slackers reap the rewards

Slackers get kicked, they are a dime a dozen >:)

Edit: let me elaborate. If members contribute enough to even be in the guild, earn raid tickets, do guild activities, or even spam chat with their charming personality, they aren't slackers.
If your guild has slackers then its bad management of the leaders and officers.
So if your guild is full of healthy strong players why wouldnt you want to work together in a team effort to get the highest possible score?

  • Hi all question. What do you think would be wiser with the new update coming. Should we level a few toons to max gear and level or should we spread it out and level more toons and gear them up at a lower level. What do you all think? I was think of leveling all my lower level 7* to lets say level 65.

I would save resources until we find out what is needed. Then you can react accordingly.

I would save as much until we know more. We know certain toons will get bonuses, there might be more.

Personally I am farming shards to get all characters to a decent count (but still not upgrading stars to save credits).

I have invested a little to get most toons up to lvl 40 so I can put on gear I have 100s of and that's about it.
  • I have been hoarding. Everything for a while now. I cant wait to see the update. If we have a credit hiest tommorw it will be even better. Thanks for the input.

my guess is that maxing on a few toons would be less desirable on this new mode. Consider that emphasizes on specialized highly geared teams are already the point of the Raids. If they really want people to branch out and get more toons in general, they'd make the new mode attractive for even relatively undergeared toons

this would make sense 'cause it forces the consumer to make choices about whether to spread the love or lose out on some rewards, thus tempting them to spend more money

I think this game mode is going to be in keeping with their current model of trying to upgrade the amount of time and frequency with which we play their game.

I think an equal amount of resources invested into maxing out one toon or middling several will produce an equal amount of results.

What it will do is push you to level toons that your probably wouldn't have before because of their worthlessness in general, but lots of people already have all their really useful toons maxes and are hoarding for new ones rather than leveling older ones.

It'll be like: "Well, leveling CUP seems like a waste, but it will get me Hoth Leia, Hoth Han, and G12 quicker for others, so I'm going to go ahead and do that now. I have no one else to work on."

I think that's the idea anyway.

I think I will be fine... I have all characters except Baze, B2 and Kenobi (Almost unlocked :) ) at at least level 50, gear 7 (only 4 gear 6) and level 3-4 abilities... everyone has got at least a couple of bad mods... Collection score in swgoh.gg = around 80
Very happy with my collection :)

I think getting toons to G8 takes pretty minimal effort, so I'm doing that for select toons. Specifically anyone I feel is associated with Luke or Hoth. Outside of that, it's wait and see.
  • I just like the fact it gives people more incentive to have a good diverse roster of toons instead of just focusing on a handful to achieve success, much like raids as opposed to arena where you can just throw up a wiggs chaze r2 team with decent mods and be competitive

Really good news. Thank you CG! I just hope this doesn't cause guilds to break up and have the strongest players flock to form super guilds.

Just like KD leaving for the Warriors... Superteams are the future, not just in the NBA, but in SWGOH as well

(I'm kidding, and hold no animosity towards KD, good for him, and I hope I am wrong about super guilds)

You do realize KD going to the Warriors is not the first super team. Before that was Miami. Before Miami it was Boston. Before Boston it was the Lakers.

Bulls with Jordan and Pippen was a super team imo. Pippen would have been best player on most other teams in that time.

Super Teams that people refer too are not usually drafted. People call the Warriors a super team after getting KD but all their super stars prior to that are drafted.

Extremely excited. First bit of new content since Ships, which is half dead right now, untill Territory Battles kicks it up a notch. Can't wait for other battlefields except Hoth.
    1...2...3! You're dead!

Glad you are not in my guild

I'll send you an application and see if I want to join or not.

Wait. If you're sending the application, why are you the one deciding to join?

    I don't think that's how applications work.

Also, I agree with the many others here, glad you're not in my guild. But you can send an application and then decide if you want to join.

    What?

Why did it have to be Hoth? Why not geonosis or naboo? Or one of the planets from Revenge of the Sith...or Scarif?

Why oh why? well they have to start somewhere. If they started anywhere from your options (geonosis/naboo/scarif) another dude can just comment and say why (geonosis/naboo/scarif)?

Why, you ask? Because Hoth Rebel Soldier is such a hard farm for such an underwhelming character, that they can make him required to play Territory Battles, and people will pay $$$ for his pack.
#CloneHelmets4Life...VICTORY!!!! "I don't like sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere." The more you tighten your grip, CG/EA, the more whales will slip through your fingers (and go F2P or quit).

Why not Hoth? Maybe they're using map content developed for Battlefront.

I would prefer Alderaan (Episode IV or later)! :naughty:
    Left by design.
The fixed payout times are the worst part of this game and makes it absolutely family-unfriendly.
