The Palpatine event disappeared from the in-game events page when Territory Battles were launched. However, the event is still listed to go off as scheduled on the forum's events calendar page. We've seen thread after thread asking if the event is still happening, with zero response.
Please clarify. If for no other reason to stop the creation of all these duplicate and unanswered threads.
Thank you.
EDIT: Because some people do not understand what I'm asking for (maybe my fault for not being clearer), I'm asking for the following. Either:
-Restore the event countdown notification on the events page in the game
OR
-Let us know that it isn't possible to do so
Also, please stop adding countdown timers that disappear before the event happens. It's confusing people. The question of whether it should be confusing or not is irrelevant, because the fact is that people are getting confused.
Please clarify. If for no other reason to stop the creation of all these duplicate and unanswered threads.
Answers from non-devs don't fix this problem.
Actually, what I should have said was "please put the event back on the in-game events page if for no other reason to stop the creation of all these duplicate and unanswered threads."
I have a better solution for the thread problem, stop asking the devs about every single thing, and listen to what other players that might have been around for sliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiightly longer than you, tell you. Palpatine event is on a monthly rotation with Yoda event. One happens this month, one happens next month. One happens in Novemer, one in December. One in January, one in February. That's how it works. Instead of being an A to somebody who is answering your question, you can say just "Thanks" or "Thank you".
Kozi posted the calendar, including the Palpatine event, on September 1, after the in-game notification disappeared on 8/30-31. Doesn't that count as a dev response?
How many players read the forums enough to even find the calendar? How many come here when they have a problem, post a thread about a missing event, and that's it?
I don't think it's unreasonable to ask for one of the following:
-Restore the event in-game
OR
-Tell us it can't be restored (for whatever reason)
What they shouldn't do is put it up in the game, then remove it, with no explanation. And someone else pointed out this same thing happened with the CLS and Yoda events. Why?
There's an entire section written with humongous letters - Dev Annoucements and News. The calendar is the very second thread on the page. You don't want a response from somebody else, you're too lazy to search the forum which takes less than 20 seconds, nobody is going to do work for you, explaining something that has already been answered, just because you're too lazy to research it. I am a nice guy and I did it for you and you were still ungrateful.
Would you please stop posting in this thread since all you want to do is complain about how ungrateful I am that you answered a question I didn't ask and already had the answer to?
I don't think it's too much to ask that you read what I actually wrote. I wasn't too lazy to research anything because I already knew the answer.
What they shouldn't do is put it up in the game, then remove it, with no explanation. And someone else pointed out this same thing happened with the CLS and Yoda events. Why?
Only the countdown notification is absent. The event should still occur at its scheduled time.
Why is it so hard to understand what I'm asking for? I'm aware the event will still occur. I'm aware the calendar in the forum indicates that it will still occur. I'm aware that the countdown notification is the only thing that is missing.
I'm asking for the countdown notification to be restored, or failing that, that the devs explain why it can't be done. I'm also asking that they stop putting a countdown notification in the game and then removing it later. All they are doing is creating confusion. You can argue, possibly with reason, that it shouldn't cause confusion, but that's irrelevant. The point is that it is causing confusion, regardless of whether that confusion is justified, and it's an easy thing to avoid.
Added my own clarification to the OP. Apparently what I'm asking for is somehow super confusing so hopefully that clears it up for people who haven't read the thread yet. For the two people who don't seem to understand, I can't help you.
I understand what you want, but I don't find it necessary, I don't think this will fix anything (Well, maybe it will stop people from creating posts about it here)
Would be nice if they fixed the obvious event display bugs they have in game and have had for a long time now. Seems its a known issue to them and its probably on their backlog to fix sometime. I'm sure its not to high priority for them. I have a few friends who play this who have similar complaints about events disappearing. It is confusing. Also if you look at the statistics of any game and how many users actually utilize the forums its a super low percentage. Even for massive games like World of Warcraft or Call of Duty. Let alone a phone game that is meant to be fairly casual. In game should be the source of truth. You really don't want your player base to have to search forums for answers to things your in game UI already should be handling.
Please refer to the event calendar for scheduled events.
As always the dates are subject to change.
Oh come on.
Look, I'm a moderator on another site, so I get that it's a thankless, difficult job. But at least read the thread before commenting. The fact that the event calendar can be found on the forum is completely beside the point and in fact was addressed quite well by the post directly above yours.
But like another poster said, I guess everyone just enjoys reading countless "WHAT HAPPENED TO THE EVENT?!!!?>>>!!!?!!" threads. It's easily fixable but no one wants to acknowledge that for some reason. Frankly, it's completely baffling.
Side note, I'm not sure why "Feedback/Events" isn't the right place for this, but ok.
Ha, I've just realized you posted the same exact response in this thread as you did in all the other "where is the event?" threads, which just proves that you didn't read this one before posting in it.

People want to know what he pend to an event they saw in game that is no longer shown in game.
The simplest solution is to refer them to the event calendar, as this is the resource that we (the forum mods have). We then push the problem to the people who actually control the situation.
I am very sorry that it is not the response that you want but it is what we have and all I have to work with.
Bumping this for one reason, which is to say someone seems to have listened. Neither the Yoda nor the R2 events appeared in the in-game event calendar until a few days out (four or five?). As such there were no "what happened to the x event?" threads. Maybe due to this thread, maybe not, but either way I'm appreciative and just wanted to say thank you.

If you think this is an unreasonable request than just ignore this thread. If for no other reason than to stop derailing it.
Thank you.

Sorry for my English :]
If the event wasn't added in-game and then disappeared later, people wouldn't post about it.
If there's a technical reason this has happened several times now, people would still post about it, but at least we'd know there was a reason for it.
Yes that's why they put it here https://forums.galaxy-of-heroes.starwars.ea.com/discussion/122359/event-calendar-9-1#latest
Where no one would find it
