We ever gonna get LGBT in-game characters?

Replies

  • Are you serious? There are a lot of LGBT characters already. It's just unofficial because it's an infringement of privacy to reveal that.
  • Couldnt care less one way or the other, if they do it great, if they dont great. Still just a mobile game.
  • Im sure if one comes in game, they will be added based on their role as part of the SW universe, not because of their sexual orientation

    Exactly.
Im pretty sure CUP is gay.

    Post of the year.

If it's important enough to talk about for the movies (and it is) it's important enough to talk about for the games. This game included. If you want to bury your head in the sand and pretend it's not part of the game if they add it then that's up to you.

Maybe one of the upcoming new Dark Side characters will be Moff Mors.

.......why does everything in our society have to revolve around sexual orientation? What difference does it make? Are we going to start having LGBT factions in the game? Ugh....why do people like you exist....
  • Poe and Finn?

But lol this topic... Stop.. :(

I am pretty sure that Maul is gay.
  • Ashoka- Aayla

    Am i right?

Wrong. Ashoka had a love interest in one of the Clone War arcs. However the **** chose to love a different chick. I guess he wasn’t into inter species relationships.

I can't believe that this is a real issue to discuss here...
    Poor Star Wars... :'(

This topic’s very existence proves we’ve lost our collective minds. On the plus side, I guess it also shows we’re all out of REAL problems.

What is LBGT ? too lazy to read the entire article.

    Liquor bacon guns and tatas
  • Star Wars has never involved itself in such menial topics. It is the genre that has knocked down barriers by all walks of life mingling with each other without second thought for prejudice. The fact that this is a thread goes to show how much about Star Wars you really know. Star Wars is ahead of our time culturally and you are behind.

I'm here for SW not SJWs

+1. I want lightsaber sword fights. Not “sword fights”
  • If I identify as a Wookie can I run around with no pants on? I'm already quite hairy.
  • For sure we will eventually. Problem is that the only canon LBGTQIA characters (that I know of, anyway) are in the Bioware games. While we might get Revan eventually (meh) and probably more generic class-based characters (Sith Assassin, etc), I doubt we'll get any companion characters since only a fragment of a fragment of players know who they are.

So when we do it's going to be someone from the new movies.
CG could please add a "gender" tag to each character? Also please make sure we have all the 80 or whatever number of sexes there are.

CG also add a tag of what sexuality each character is. I want to have a full LGBT team in this game. Also can LGBT characters be like super overpowered so I don’t get triggered. Thanks!

Sounds like you've already been triggered...

  • I want Droids to be able to use the Cantina’s women’s bathroom. We have to be inclusive.
  • This is the most absurd post I've ever seen gaming. TBH lgbtq is less than 7% of the population, and does not need to be part of everything. Are we going to include all pc types in game, what about the extreme fring groups? Oh right! The GAME is an escape from the normal earth life, we shouldn't include our issues here!

  • I wish they hadnt removed the downvote option.

"Star Wars isn't about politics!" It's literally the story of a rag-tag group of diverse species coming together to overthrow a dictatorship.

"Star Wars isn't about sexuality!" If you think someone's sexual orientation is only about sex, then you don't know a **** thing.

"Why should we care about sexuality?" Correct. So how come that means they shouldn't be in the game?

"What about extreme fringe groups?" Well, we already have a ton of characters based of German national socialists (the board censors their party name) who have gleefully committed genocide against entire planets. So I'd say that's pretty extreme and fringe.

  • Quite honestly the sexual orientation beyond the main character has never even been mentioned in the Star Wars universe. Even throughout the entirety of clone wars Ezra is slightly attracted to Ahsoka. And Anakin and Padme. In the movies it was Anakin and padme, Han and Leia. The point is. The only reason those relationships even existed in the story was to make Darth Vader Luke’s father. And to make a point that Leia also had the force through her children. LGBT is something I have no issues with. But it would benefit Star Wars in absolutely no way. Asking them to put that is would be selfish imo. Not once has a couple been depicted throughout Star Wars just for the sake of it. It has always been to produce a child important to the plot. If there was ever a time for that. Maybe just maybe they could have fit it in with the guy who “adopted” jyn being gay. Still though. I just don’t see it benefitting the story in any way.

I don't care either way, other to say the scorn and mocking in this thread, especially given where things are in the world today, is severely disappointing. I like to think people are better than this, unfortunately people keep proving me wrong.

Carry on with your jokes. Hope you're all enjoying yourself.

I think people just like being able to identify with someone in a story. Stories are more enjoyable when there is a strong connection. It's understandable that there are tons of star wars fans who want to see a more relatable character.

And if sexual orientation didn't have a significant impact outside of the bedroom, then this wouldn't actually be a discussion.

Yea but the thing is. When has anyone connected to Star Wars characters through their romantic affiliation? I felt bad for Luke when he found out Leia was his sister. But that wasn’t out of personal relatability. I would suspect a flaming homosexual would feel the same way. They might even add fantasies of Luke and Han running off together. The only time relationships are used in the Star Wars universe is to create a child important to the plot. I am straight but have no interest in children. I relate to anakins battle with the system of illusioned “order” and “justice” created by the light side. I relate to the fact that Anakin and Luke lost their mother. I relate to anakins rage. I relate to his desire for freedom. I relate to emperor palpatines intense desire for power. I relate to Luke’s and anakins desire to protect the people close to them. I relate to Han’s blunt and to the point nature. I relate to ahsoka’s willingness to question “the way things are.” I relate to asajj Ventress being a bit of an outcast. I relate to Savage Opress in the way that people around him have tried to control him his whole life.
Point is. If your sexual orientation is all that defines you and allows you to relate to a character. You should probably rethink your life.

I don't care about sexual orientation, to each their own. Just keep these tags out of SW in general. SW is an adventure story, not a sexual class. Get off.
    Do or do not...
  • Really!?! Sexual orientation and political movements have no place in Star Wars or related games.

Where have you been the last 40+ years? Star Wars is ALL about politics and sexuality.

    moved to correct sub forum.

I dont think it matters, this game has no storyline for any events or game mode. the closest we get is some of the kits are built towards the character in some way.....but kits would not be affected by a persons sexual orientation.

For you to even compare LGBTQ (glad you managed to add in the Q that I forgot originally) to extreme fringe groups, and to demean good people as an “issue”, is pretty telling of your views on others different than you.

7%? Is that a figure from the 700 Club? Even so, 7% = over 500 million people (based on the world population being ~7.6 billion). LGBTQ doesn’t seem so small now, does it?

Possibly. They left the exact nature of their relationship open to interpretation so it could hit different people in different ways.

I know a lot of people who read them as gay, but I also know a lot of combat vets who read them as brothers in arms. Everyone brings their own experience to the characters, which allows them to invest in them more personally—especially in an exposition-light movie like Rogue One.
