Thanks man. Just saw only 13 listed in your post while I was making a list of who we’d need. I’m sure it won’t make a huge difference since it’s only phase 1. But some people are weird about missing info.
Am I the only person who doesn't understand how these slices work? So should I assume that territory 3 vertical slices (all 3 of them) will be same for phase 4-6 and that territory 3 is the same as phase 3?
@CG_Kozispoon can you comment on the rumor that Hermit Yoda and Wicket are or can be required in platoons now starting in Phase 5 (6*)? If those toons are now required why aren’t CLS or GK?

Anyone care to explain why the SF tie fighter is in squadrons AGAIN?!
A reasonable person would think that after the nightmare that was DS: TB the next TB would fix this. These toons are not farmable!!!

The statement they made is that any toon "in the game" is available to the pool of toons drawn from for Platoons. The only issue that came out of DS TB as far as platoons is concerned was required toons being in platoons, thats being fixed.

@Kyno
I know that’s what was said. But just because they said that doesn’t mean it’s not a problem nor is unfair. By forcing people to pay for these toons is ridiculous. It takes progress made by guilds and pushes them back and sticks them behind a paywall until a random cadence is met to allow farming these toons.
And the solution that Kozi offered of “recruit people that have them” is quite frankly insulting. Maybe having them in the 6th slice would be more fair because that places a big emphasis on maxing stars for the TB and makes it a true end game achievement and a P2P premium exclusive. From the 4th slice on is not ok.

I understand where you are coming from and just wanted to make sure that the information we currently have on hand is out there when questions like this come up.
on the point of fair, p2p have an advantage, that the way it should be. IMO.
This change doesn't put TB behind a paywall just the quick route. as we all build up we will have enough GP to make up the loss of both the platoon points and the points lost by not being able to 6/6 some of the harder missions. If i remember correctly, i ran the numbers when the first change was made and to make up for the lost points in P6 i think it was 8-12 fully upgraded toons (from scratch). while this sounds like a huge deal, with the new gear availability and what i would think will be an influx of toons from TLJ movie we will be able to make up this gap without too much work.
8-12 characters might make up for the 240k gp missing from completing a platoon squad but it certainly does not make up for 10 x players only being able to complete 5/6 instead of 6/6.
Even if a guild planned their farming path and had a couple of us use our arena income farming the needed characters like we did with paploo and logray, it is just a matter of time before they add a new character behind a paywall and our progress is set back.
The frustration was that platoons were first shown to us as a way to utilize our entire roster. Instead it's giving up wedge biggs, leia, lando, baze, chirrut about 30 times and having one jedi consular.

Exactly. That’s the irritating thing about platoons. They are not “using” your roster, they are specifically preventing the use of your roster.
I don’t know what the idea behind the platoons is. Is it to make the missions more random and challenging by forcing players to do the missions without certain characters? Is that fun? And if almost everyone doesn’t have the characters in the first place, what does that achieve?
Or is it to give passive advantages in missions for players who spend a lot of money to get a big roster and who do not mind being unable to play with the characters they paid for? I’m not sure I know anybody who thinks like that. Surely you want to use your roster even more if you just paid for it. Certainly in my guild last DS TB players were really unhappy that every one of our 7* Talzins had to be platooned to help the guild. That definitely wasn’t fun.
Platoons, I’m afraid, are just a flawed idea. They detract from the game whichever way you look at it.
Platoons would be much better if they actually required the toons that can be worked towards, JKG, Jawas, Ewok Elder, Ewok Scout, Bistan, Pao, Lobot, or any of the lightside toons that can be farmed.

Vertical Slice 1
Vertical Slice 2 Mission 1 (TOP)
Vertical Slice 2 Mission 2 (BOTTOM)
Vertical Slice 03 Mission 01 (Top)
Vertical Slice 03 Mission 02 (Mid)
Vertical Slice 03 Mission 03 (Bottom)
For Example:
Kanan Jarruss = Kanan Jarrus
Aayala Secura = Aayla Secura
I think i got them all
There are still a few.
For example:
Clone Sergeant - Phase 1 instead of Clone Sergeant - Phase I
Chirrut Imwe instead of Chirrut Îmwe
I don't have a full list of what I had to correct, but I remember those specifically.
We have already discovered that missing toons in Platoon 2 of the Phase 1 are Pao and Jedi Consular.
Can you please tell us who is the missing toon in Platoon 1 of the Mission 2 in the Phase 3? That way we could prepare adequately.
Thanks for your efforts. I hope you read this.
I only know the information I was given, so I will ask again and make any updates I can.
GK is there... above hermit yoda
