No issue, clear your app data. They forced a full asset download. If yours is choking then delete the data and force it to download from the app stores.

Deleted my client and redownloaded. Didn't fix anything. Still stuck at Checking for Updates. After a while it times out and says something is wrong with my connection, even though everything else works OK.
I have been trying to get in for the past 20 minutes. Cleared cache/data, stuck on checking for updates. Also help.ea.com is down currently so cant even open a ticket.

They'd better have it back up at least an hour before the arena cycle ends. Grrr. And don't listen to Gair. I'd better not have to redownload assets in game, every precious second counts now that there's only 2 hours and 55 minutes before the arena cycle ends and who knows when they'll get the servers up.
I'm on Spectrum as well, but I'm having no problem accessing anything else on the Internet. I don't want to risk using data by turning wifi off. No idea how much data this game uses.

Weird that it affect the game but not regular browsing
Not just that but other games on my iphone and PC work just fine. Even the EA MMO Star Wars the Old Republic.
