I am not getting anything new to purchase in the Galactic war store. Is there a plan to make the selections at the GW Store more ramdom

no. the dev post said about it being used for shard shop currency for mature accounts

Nope. The characters are static, and the ships rotate but once you have them all maxed it's pretty much only for shard shop currency
