I'm about to unlock Tier 9 Light side battles. I don't know how long it will be before I complete Shoretrooper's node, but hopefully not long.
As part of my long term plan, I want to add Shore to my Arena Empire team. I'm just wondering how long I'll have to farm him before he's Arena-viable? Unlock is 3*, but if I can hear him up high, will he still work?
I'm in a relatively young Arena shard--December 2017, if memory serves.

Depending on what you run for a LS squad, you might , or might not have an easy-ish time three starring his node. Good luck tho.
Also, G11 is not viable at 82....several pieces of G10 gear have level requirements in the 83-85 range to equip. At least on the toons I have.
If you have questions on how to mod the shore I have two discussions on that already. Here they are.

It took me quite a while to 3* that node, I finaply was able to do so using fast zQGJ team that consisted of qui-gon, old ben, ezra, yoda and r2. I used a CLS ally (the cls ally must be extremely fast, 215+ speed).
Thanks for the tip. I 3-starred today (third try) with my Phx, plus a super-high-power CLS ally.
Well that rules out my CLS!
Congratulation on three starring it, though. Now, how long until you get your hands on your Shoretrooper? And do you plan to divert enough Cantina energy to unlocking Deathtrooper so you can run TIE Reaper that much sooner? Or do other projects take priority (and should I stop interrogating you)?
I really want Deathtrooper, but at the moment I'm putting 100% of my Cantina energy toward CLS toons (except on Sundays I do Mod farming instead). I'm almost finished with both FBL and OB, but I haven't decided what to do next. I mean, if I want RJT, that's 5-6 more Cantina farms.
Add to that that I don't have Tie Reaper, and I think I only got one blueprint today.
So I dunno. What do you think?
(Nah, I don't mind the interrogation. It's nice to have someone to bounce this stuff off of. )

If your drop rates are anything like mine, you'll probably wind up raising TIE Reaper and Shoretrooper at about the same rate. Mine are at 44/65 and 59/65 respectively (I couldn't tell you how long I've been farming them; since I hit 82, I think, which happened in either January or February). I wound up diverting the resources to unlock Deathtrooper before I started working on the Veterans--though I have no plans to star him up until after I finish them--if only because, through shards I got from Assault Battles, I only needed 5 shards to do it; if you care enough about fleets to put resources into them sooner rather than later, or plan to use both characters once you've got the gear to use them, TIE Reaper is easily one of the best ships in the game (though it may have the same problem that TIE Fighter has, in that it needs a lot of gear to get there; I haven't tried it yet, I've only just started putting levels, gear, and abilities into my troopers).
Do finish Old Ben and Farmboy before you do, though; whatever you end up doing. Did you already finish your First Order team, or did you put your CLS toons first? And, if you didn't, are you going to make room for First Order Executioner?
At any rate, I'll probably decide if I'll divert for DT based on when I earn the Reaper. Right now my Fleet progression is highly Rebel-oriented, in preparation for Chimaera to return.
As far as ships go, I would personally put completing the ship ability materials challenge over Chimaera prep--and this is coming from someone who failed to get Chimaera during this last event (I doubt I'll have Home One at seven stars by the time the event returns, but here's hoping for a 6 star Chimaera next time)--if only cause those zetas will probably take you farther than Chimaera will (though in a young shard Chimaera pretty much guarantees a top 20 finish, so eh). If you don't know the requirements for the ship ability materials challenge: you need a five star Executrix (five dark side ships at four or more stars), and eight ships at five or more stars of any faction.
I don't remember 5* Home One being that difficult.
6*, on the other hand...
Off-topic now but there is a disproportionate jump in difficulty to 5* relative to the others. Don't have the ships to 6* yet but as I understand it there's another disproportionate jump.
