Developers consideration

It was mentioned once in the forums, about the game being shut down for a week, to scrub the code. Would that even be a possibility? It seems like an undertaking, but with all the issues of the patchwork gaming taking its toll, maybe its an option.

    Possible, probably.

Neccessary, no, not even to do what you are suggesting.

    Good idea, no definitely not.

It seemed legit, but the only coding I have been exposed to was an intro in college, so its all greek to me.
    Thanks for responding.

Most coding is done in "off line copies" that can then be pushed out and you do a sweep of log outs and ins, hence the client restarts.

Shutting down a living game like this would do way more harm than good. Even if you came back online with a perfect version of all the code.
