  Focus on TFP to 5* in particular because he has a great ship that's part of the meta. So he should be one of the ones you 7* soon after as well.
  
  Takes a while to build a good Trooper team with Veers so I wouldn't worry about that.
  
  Having Palpatine as lead makes the event ten times easier.
  
  However; you have a while to go for the next R2 event as it just ended. If you focus on your Empire in particular, you could almost be ready to 6* or 7* R2 next time he shows up, although it's significantly harder without 7* Palpatine or a 7* Trooper team.

  TFP with high potency applies buff immunity across the board with his AoE, excellent against the taunts from Han/Chewie and the handouts from R2D2. Leia can't stealth herself either. His basic can also inflict tenacity down which is huge combined with Palpatine's potency bonus.
