Semantic Rant: Heroes? Why no mention of Villians?

Always wondered about this. All the characters in game are not heroes. Some are down right evil. So why the positive tag for both?

  • It's all a matter of perspective.

To the "good guys" the "bad guys" heroes are villains and vice versa.

Depends who's side you're on as to who is a hero. Vader went and killed loads of rebels and Jedi, so he was a hero from the Empire's view. A total monster to everybody else.
Hey, it's still better than MSF
  • Furthermore, some characters are neither hero nor villain. Can Ugnaught really be classified as a hero? A more accurate title for the game would be, "Star Wars: Galaxy of Characters"

    Nailed it ^^^^
  • Of course, the Star Wars galaxy is indeed a galaxy of heroes, regardless of how many non-heroes are in it. From a certain point of view.

    Because it's pithy.

"Galaxy of Heroes" is a good name for a game.

"Galaxy of Folks of Various Differing Moral Dispositions," isn't.
    Still not a he.
  • "Galaxy of Persons of Questionable Virtue"

    "Galaxy of Assorted Ideologies"

    This could be fun.....

If you consider GoH to be pay to win, you haven't been paying attention to other freemium model games.

    ...

This game is very fair to free players.

Quite a few free players make the leader boards.

Free players can get every unit, and every piece of gear. It's just a question of when.
