I use HK-lead + IG88 + IG86 + JE + Nebit in phase 3 of HSith to bring down 2 of Trayas Light Sabers to set up an easy Chexmix run. 86 pulls his weight.

Respect the droids?!? When the only viable leader (R2) is a rolling trash can and their only viable attacker (IG88) falls over if you sneeze on your phone, I find it hard to give any respect to them.

I find it hard to take you seriously when you tell me Artoo is a better leader than HK47.

Actually, if you mod Ig-86 with a critical damage set bonus and a critical damage primary stat, it can do a lot of damage, especially if T3-M4 is on the team with both zeta abilities. I’ve seen about 20k damage on a basic attack. Not to mention the special ability that gives both IG-86 and the called droid ally an additional 75% critical damage.
Top one is the basic attack, and bottom is the special. Gear level is XI if that’s information you wanted.
Like most toons, even old ones modded properly and placed on the right team have their uses. He can do good enough work. Glad he still has uses. He was one of my first attackers and always had a soft spot for him.
I have a droid team ready to go and he is on it. I just need to gear them. Only 546543 other characters of mine need Mark V Stun Guns first.
If you have HK, 88, and 86 from three years ago when they were the meta, then the post is moot. Those 3 kept me #1 in arena on my shard for 2-4 months. I am definitely not taking 86 to g12 right now, but those 3 still have a lot of good uses. Mine is modded for 186 speed. I am not unhappy I have this character, and if you put full speed gear on IG86 to go first , he will use his special attack which is almost guaranteed to crit and give the droids tm boost. It is a niche in the game now. I team them with Daka and Ewok Elder now often whenever I use them. I don't have a good Ewok or NS team so it works for me. That team chewed through Galactic War fast before it could be simulated, and it is still a decent Grand Arena defense combo if you already have the team. Your opponent will need to bring a worthy team to beat it.

I think he’s thinking back to 2016 when that squad could hold its own in arena.
