Denied.. As for Skynyrd, Freebird is my all time favorite song. I had just graduated High School when their plane went down. Couldn't believe it. Thin Lizzy, another fav group. I even have a parody of The Boys are back in town in my Cantina Karaoke thread in OT "..the clones are back, the clones are back".

I was introduced to this album in 1979, Warrior at the edge of time.
Lives of great men all remind us
We may make our lives sublime
And departing leave behind us
Footprints in the sands of time

If we are fortunate, those prints behind us are not easy swept aside.
Found a really great interview. Eddy is very humble, and we are the same age so it resonates on many levels.
I started listening to this station a few decades ago when I was working in construction. It taught me the blues. http://www.kkfi.org/#
My favorite times to listen are 7pm CST Friday night til I fall asleep, and Saturday morning 8-11am CST. Those are both blues shows and well worth checking out.
Ah, who else would you replace Waters with for the vocals.. very nice sir. Another that I was unfamiliar with despite calling the Floyd my fave forever.

Sadly it was David Bowies last live perfomance in the Uk. I was not prepared for how hard his passing hit me. Boy George summed it up best I think. He wrote "I've dreaded this day, I liked to think he was immortal..".
Check this out, Heart covering Stairway, at the Kennedy Centers Honors for LED ZEPPLIN! And Robert, Jimmy, and John Paul were watching from their seats of honor. No pressure lol

Okay, just to be clear - I'm joking with the above, but figured I'd throw in a classic tune or two.
"Freebird" from some fairly small, unknown group called Lynyrd Skynyrd

A great cover of House of the Rising Sun is by Five Finger Death Punch. Language in the opening would get it removed here, google it
