Raid Sim with no join period - Does everyone get rewards?

I've been trying to find confirmation of this since the messaging doesn't specifically state it. If we Sim a Pit Raid with NO join period, does everyone get a payout?

You can't launch a sim raid with no join period I think.

no. rewards only go to those who join.

Why do we have to join a simmed raid at all? Why not just instantly give everyone in the guild the reward when it launches? This might be the dumbest thing in the game, having to join a simmed raid.

People jumping from guild to guild could get a lot of rewards

They still can. The join period could be an hour. It’s stupid.

No cause there is a 24h cooldown to JOINING an raid, if the rewards were just sent to everyone in the guild then they would just need to be in it, not joined in the raid

And why can't the cooldown still be active? If you sim the raid with no join period the new member wouldn't get anything at all but everyone else would.

  • The apparent logic is they have time to signup for rewards. No fight. Why can't we have all rewards go to all players by the leader hitting sim? Because we'd like it that way so it must be bad.
  • Be sure to set a max join period, found out the hard way tonight.
