I never get more speed on my mods when I slice or upgrade them.

I think they nerfed speed. I get super nice mods but the speed never grows. When you slice and upgrade 10 mods you're like next one is gonna work for sure. No! You ain't getting speed.

  • Its working fine. Im actually on a lucky streak myself lately, as opposed to the bad luck streak that lasted like a year..

This is how you lose your shirt at the casino.
  • I haven't had speed increase in the last 50 or so slices.
I also have not received a zeta from fleet challenges for like 2 months.

The randomness programmed into this game is infuriating and lazy.
  • It’s all rng. Just farm more mods and slice more mods.

  • I don't know if they all have equal probability or not, but I find I have a lot better luck getting a speed stat to upgrade when I slice it than when I'm leveling it in the first place. Finding speed secondaries in the first place is still as rare as ever though.

I've been playing since almost launch, trust me it is not as simple as "just buy more and slice more". I spend 6 refreshes a day on mod energy to slice, and I have sith to show for it.

It just, unlike some other mobile games (Hearthstone, to name a highly successful one with a completely different play-style), lacks a sympathy mechanic. It's a counter programmed to run behind the scenes and sees how many 'bad rolls' (in Hearthstone, opening several consecutive packs while not opening a legendary, for example, is tracked on a "pity timer'
) in a row the player gets, and nudging the odds up a little bit each time so that eventually the player is guaranteed to hit (I want to say it was something like 40 packs before you HAD to hit a legendary).

It would be nice to see this in, for example, the Zeta Challenges, as it only increases the number of zetas paid out to players by a very small percentage, but would remove a lot of the 'feel bad's from incredible strings of bad luck.

@Kyno any chance this could be pitched to the devs? It's a proven business policy and would allow anyone complaining about 'I missed on ___ weeks/months in a row' threads as bogus. Would be a huge bone for the community and at a negligible cost to CG/EA.

We’re all in the same boat man regarding farming. No matter what you say it is all rng. I don’t believe the game has it out for you or any of us. I’m not saying high speed secondaries are common but they do exist.
