c3 in 3v3

Every time 3v3 roles around, I don't really know what to do with my Rebels.

CLS, Chewie, Solo, and C3 are my big group. Usually Old Ben or Thrawn come in at the 5th slot. Sometimes r2, but he's often with resistance

When I break into 3, CLS Solo and Chewie are part of a team.
C3 is a great toon, but I don't know where to put him. I could slap him on a Resistance team (JTR, bb8, r2 and Finn, Scav, Res Trooper) and kick out another toon or do the same for ewoks

Rebel and Resistance and ewok roster above

Use a zOB lead, C3PO and R2. That team is dodge hell and good for a few wins because people will underestimate it. I do hide that team in the back as well.

If I get c3's evasion zeta, I'll consider. Right now it wouldn't do much

Another thing I forgot to mention- I often use r2 w/JTR as anti-evasion teams (usually maul), so I'm reluctant to drop r2 for c3. And the other rez team is a b-team on defense that I am reluctant to plug c3 into

  • I sometimes put him with zeta Chirpa lead and zwicket. A lot of people underestimate that team too
  • I usually run Princess Leia (L) with R2 and C3. R2 stealths, so Leia can use hers for immediate 100% tm and buffs, and can multi-expose.

Without R2 two most obvious variants probably are:

    Acbar-Leia-C3
    Chirpa-Wicket-C3

There also can be plenty of variants depends on how you are going to use Ezra, Wiggs, etc. All that teams are definitely not A grade but still pretty good, mostly as offense cleaners.

Will regular Wicket do, or does he need the zeta, for this team to tick?
And do you have any feeling of how it performs compared to zChirpa/Wicket/EE ?

I use ackbar/3PO/Leia as an offence squad in 3v3, they really perform above expectations. If Leia gets a triple attack in with 3 crits and 3 exposes plus her buffs up, she puts out some serious damage. Then you have ackbar having the opportunity to call her or 3PO for assists fairly regularly, meaning Leia's stealth is often off cooldown and you can keep her safe.

Leia's stealth cooldown is short enough that she is always stealthed no matter who you run her with.

The problem I've had with that team is that both she and C3 stealth, so Ackbar ends up being a weak tank, dying immediately, and then it's open season on Leia.

Maybe I should avoid using C3's special.

I meant that her special ability is off cooldown, so she can keep foresight and her buffs up and call more assists, meaning more exposes.

You do need a slightly tanky ackbar - mine is G12+5 with 6 dot mods for fleet, so he can take a couple of hits. The team is so offensively powered that he doesn't need to survive a drawn-out battle. They won't be beating revan but they work well against squishier teams.

She will always have every buff regardless, again because the ability is already on a shorter cooldown than the length of the buffs, independent of C3's kit.

However, you're right that she can use it more frequently due to C3's kit, which will call more assists.

My AA is G11. I just can't bear to give him that gold stun gun :(

I'm using 3PO with zChirpa and zPaploo, obviously just on offense ;)

Paploo does not deal so much damage with his basic but he cleanses AND spread exposes every time he hits (which could be very often with retaliate and taunt active^^). It's no option vs. a meta team but quite solid vs. most b-teams.

And i can save Wicket for another Ewoks team with Teebo and Elder.

While she'll always have stealth and the crit buffs (excepting a dispel), she won't always have foresight if the enemy have AoE attacks. Having the ability off cooldown means she can get the foresight back more often so it's actually quite difficult for the enemy to land a hit on her. It makes it easier for her to finish with full protection, getting you that potentially crucial extra banner. Not usually a game changer but worth considering.

  • I use Han, Chuwe and 3PO on offense (without a leader ability) and I usually kill Traya, Sion and Nihilus :-)

CLS Chew Han can handle Traya, or a mirror, and I don't really have much Traya to fight at my GP. Still worth considering as CLS probably makes my other rebels better than C3 makes them.

Maybe I'll toss some gear on storm han sometime and use his lead with leia and c3

or mix my ewoks and use them. I usually use Cheif, Wicket and Palploo as D, but rokota made a good suggestions

This is where I typically use him as well. I don’t have the evasion zeta either. I took out a g12 NS squad this GA, albeit minus Zombie (zzAV, zDaka, Initiate).
