I assume that's a question for the OP. I don't know. Lol.
Uhh... Because I like most people didn’t want to have to watch a 1 hour long video that basically will go on and on about nonsense and fluff and then hit the points.
I wanted a cliff note version first. Sure I’ll watch a few vids later. When I get the time of course. But I wanted to get the squads down first, and then later I’ll fast forward and rewind the videos according to the strategy aspect. That’s all. Didn’t think that was too much to ask. Whatever. lol

I didn't say that it was too much to ask. But I gave you an answer that is valid, although you stated that it wasn't, and you still got no answer for strategy in those 3 hours that has passed since your question. Which means you could watch 3 of those 1 hour vids and got your answer. (Though most vids are between 10 and 40 minutes.)

Haha. No. You’re wrong my friend. Lol. I’ve actually lived life in those three hours. Ate dinner too. And I didn’t watch any vids either. So it was a time saver for me.
And as I said, I’ll skim the vids for strategy. I just wanted to know the squad comp. I know what YouTube is. But instead of internet surfing, I thought I could just have helpful friendly people share some advice here. One stop shopping basically. That’s all. We’re all in this together.
Did it save time when you still have to watch the vids later? It surely did in the last three hours, but won't in another three (or any) hours period in your life. Especially because no one wrote you a step-by-step strategy guide so far.
But whatever. Good luck getting DR and Malak this time.
Personally, I don’t like to watch videos early because I don’t want to get spoiled on the actual mechanics of the event. That said, it is helpful to know what squad comp to aim for by asking on the forums. The only way I ever watch a strategy video is if it’s the last day of the event and I still haven’t figured out how to do it myself.

True. I don’t like being spoiled either. Good point. Just like in the CLS and Rey Heroes Journeys. And yep. That’s what I’m tryin to do. (Ask advice on the forums.) lol
I am sitting at my desk at work. I need to recall a bit of information. I can search my emails for the answer, or I can ask Jon, the guy who sits across from me. The latter takes like 5 seconds, the former two minutes. I choose the latter.
I appreciate the OP's question as well. Once Malak is live I will watch the videos. For now, I just want to know who to gear.

Thank you miketo. That was my point entirely. Glad someone else gets it too.
You can do a YouTube search for "swgoh darth malak event", and you'll get plenty of videos with strategies.
If I ask for the chemical compound for sodium nitrate telling me to check the periodic table of elements only confirms you haven't a clue. If asked to spell simple would you also need to suggest a dictionary?

But you made a nice thorough guide to being a bratty jurk right here
I watched Ahnald’s video yesterday and got Malak today. That was... Unexpectedly easy I have to admit as I followed Ahnald’s advices and everything went smoothly. Including the winning round, it took me a total of 2 attempts for the dark side and 3 attempts for the light side. Both were 3 starred and I had to move mods for the light side event.
My characters are not especially great, far from top arena ladder:
Oh yeah. I forgot to post here that I got Malak. Yesterday actually. DS was pretty easy but the LS was giving me difficultly at first. Once I moved mods around I beat it on my first try.

Nice. This is what I used. And mine aren’t that great either. Yours are a lot better than mine. Lol

Thanks... but that doesn’t quite answer my question...
Anyone else? lol
JKR, Bastila, Jolee, Mission and Zaalbar (I'd search YouTube for the strategy, quite tough and button bashing won't do it).
DR, Badstilla, Carth, Canderous (easy peasy, lemon squeezy).
Okay. Thanks so much for the tips! That’s the info I was wanting.
Lol. That's the same info you'd have got if you watch YouTube vids, which you should still watch for strategies if this is the "info you wanted".
This way is faster, minus reading the complaints about not doing it that way.
Why faster if still have to watch vids?
I thought yours was a [Removed] against me for whatever reason.
Leave out the swearing please. ~Rtas

Thanks for the help. Much appreciated.
I think that’s the general consensus.
