Remove mod slicing weighting toward Defense

Prev13
As someone who spends 6 mod energy refreshes a day slicing mods and tracking results, it is clear that defense (flat or %) is weighted above other stats to increase, while speed has the lowest chance of increase. Please remove the skew and allow all mod stats the same chance at increasing.

Replies

  • But they promise all mods have an equal(lopsided) chance 25% per secondary stat (more like speed .01% and health 50%) to gain a level up. Except in the case of speed which can +3, +4, +5, or +6 because surprise mechanics. Slap in the face.

I've never seen that "promised", but my data shows me that clearly the different secondaries do not have an even chance of increasing; I believe they should.

Your data is a small sample size

Yeah I also believe they don’t adjust drop rates. Because they said so.

    🤨

Edit: though honestly I don’t know why they would nerf speed. Oh right, to keep whales speedier!

Show us your data - keen to see it.

I feel like I get a bunch of "not speed" on a long streak but then I'll get a bunch of speed increases in a row as well. Overall it seems to be fairly even in my experience.

I call **** on your "data" and would like to see it in a Google Sheet. Share the link.

I get my fair share of all stats. None make me think the stats aren't evenly distributed.

I am fine with being wrong, but I have a fetish for data.

I flipped a coin yesterday, and it was heads. Based on my empirical evidence I want to complain about the anti-tails RNG within the fabric of reality.

You laugh, but the so-called “tails” side of the coin is a liberal fairy tail like the Easter bunny, leprechaun gold, round Earth, and, global warming. Make All Coins Heads Again!

Whoever at this stage who still thinks speed has the same chance to go up as any other secondary is just very lucky or very deceived.

I'm quite sure you have relevant data.

I won $300 playing craps last night.....never rolled speed once so it must be rigged
  • 55 rolls . 12 secondary stats 2/21 chance to hit speed when upgrading , perfect would have been 4 mods with speed . You got 0/4 not that bad when it's taken on a mod by mod basis

Just out of curiosity, how do you explain the discrepancy between my GA opponent's mods and mine? Seems like mine are pretty decent and his are pretty pathetic. And before you say
"You have 200,000 GP over him" yeah but we have pretty much the exact same number of G11/G12 toons and G12 gear slots. And it is 100,000 toon GP difference. I think that is probably the best indication of account equality.

Mods are part luck (what hits) and part strategy (how you obtain resources and how you deploy them). Your opponent has either been less lucky, less strategic, or both.

You just have to keep spending until speed does roll. At that point you will be on a hot streak and you can't lose.

Just so I feel enlightened today, can you explain to me what psuedorandom means? Because thats a new one.

Random is rolling a die. Pseudorandom is a computer programmed to generate a number between 1 and 6.

So, is what you are trying to say that its impossible to program a computer to make a truly random selection?

Impossible for GC to do it. According to the employee handbook.
