Why so much hate against women being in star wars????

    Combination of factors....Among them...

    1) Different main characters than they're used to
    2) A lot of people feel like female lead characters are being forced on them in some social agenda
    3) Story took a different direction that they'd like

Now who is the easiest to point blame on for "ruining" their beloved series? The new characters... many of which are female... Or the president of Lucasfilm, who also happens to be female.

Which isn’t really fair, considering the fact that all of these films have mostly male scriptwriters and directors. There just hasn’t been a great female character yet (besides Leia), and that is by no means the result of poor acting.

There hasn't been a good female character you say? Then immediately contradicted yourself with one.
Saying there's only one good female in that movie is a bit misleading. Two main characters were droids and one was a wookie

Yeah, but there aren’t a lot of Wookiee and droids to represent here on Earth.

Movies aren’t about representation. Especially fantasy space movies. The rules of physics don’t apply. Why should any other rules ?

It's not about putting more women and minorities in roles just to include them, it's about giving them the same chances that white dudes are given.

This. But truthfully, companies do it to widen their fan base. My sister got sick of watching a bunch of dudes beat up dudes in the MCU; she’s a fan of people like Okoye and Hela.

Why aren’t movies inclusive. Barring a financial restriction , they do have the same chance to watch a movie just as much as any white dude.

But how about being a lead in one. I once heard a great speech about how misrepresentation and lack of black people in the media has led to a lot of black people thinking that they just aren’t good enough to “lead” our society.

Just curious if this speech was given during Obama's 8yrs as president?

Not just a lead. All sorts of positions, both in front and behind camera, are dominated by white men.

It was not, but he’s a good model for anyone who’s not a straight white man.

He can be. But not really for representation. I’m a straight white man and Obama is one of my role models. But there’s more than enough people to represent my race.
