Death Star Raid!!!

I know there’s a lot of fleet hate, but we need a raid with a ship component. How about a rogue one rework (add saw!) to go with a two-part raid featuring a scarif level followed by a fleet attack on the Death Star? This is how you roll out Jedi Luke (somehow-haven’t actually thought that part through). This idea is gold! And yes, I know there’s a new movie coming and this gold idea has no hope.
Now back to haat...

I thought about this as well. I was thinking they could do a combo raid.
1. X wings fighting in the sky.
2. Luke fighting Vader.
3. Ground assualt with Ewoks.
4. Luke and Vader fighting Emp Palp.

I tried posting something (innocent) not too long ago predicting a major revamp to ships around this time next year and it wasn't allowed on the forums. Do with that what you will.

I brought this uplast year on forums. Unfortunately, I think around ot falcon was our best chance. The rest of this year will be clone wars then transition to ep9.

I like the Rogue one element of your raid idea OP, I hadn’t seen that floated regarding a Death Star raid yet.

I think for certain that the next raid will have a ship phase. The argument that ships are dead (which I don’t agree with) is actually one FOR having a ship phase. It will give everyone another reason to build fleets.
Ships aren’t dead in my guild - they are a major focus for TB. Stars are important

This next combo raid could be a Death Star - that would work best, I could also see it being Starkiller Base.
I don’t think Jedi Luke will be a reward though - he could be the character that is really needed for that phase against The Jedi Luke journey is a real thing, look for it to have the most demanding requirements yet.

You guys are missing the best way to get their attention!

How about this: Death Star raid, but you first need a 7 star PLANET YAVIN, 7 star Porkins, 7 star red leader, and 7 star gold leader, and 7 star dodonna... which will take 2 years or more to farm (or just buy it for $999.99) Then once you have all that, you need 7 star dewback, 7 star sy snootles, 7 star max reebo, and 7 star dancer girl... and 7 star bib fortuna.. Sound like a lot to farm? Don’t worry- you can just by them all for the low, low price of say $3000 .. and please just try to ignore the fact that ALL these characters will be useless outside of this event - which you will only be allowed to run one time.

Once you have all of them at gear 13, you can run the Death Star raid, which will be painfully easy at that point, (because all of CG’s effort didn’t go into the raid itself- no, their effort went into getting you to buy the shards) The raid can be run every three weeks, and at each completion you’ll unlock 1 single “red 5” shard, OR 1 single “Luke in xwing gear” shard. Once you collect 185 of each, they can be unlocked (Or just buy them for $5000)

Once you have “red 5” and “xwing pilot luke”, you can go into ship arena and make use of the “use the force” passive ability, (always go first, and stun all enemies no matter what) followed by the “pay to win/nuke the Death Star ability” - (instantly defeat all opponents.) This ability also automatically makes a forum post for you defending CG and announcing to all that despite the fact that you laid out thousands of dollars to get all this, it is still in fact, 100 percent viable to get top spot in fleet arena as F2p.

Still need Red 5 and Red Lead plus Gold group for the first Death Star. A-Wings and. B-Wings if you want the second Death Star.

I have been a big proponent of a ship raid, but I don't think the Battle of Yavin works particularly well for raid since the final boss would an exhaust port. The Battle of Scarif (mentioned earlier) or the Battle of Endor would work great though.

Endor:
Phase 1 and 2 are essentially a horde mode where you have to kill a set number of Tie Fighters then a mixture of Bomber/Interceptors.

Phase 3:
Destroy 2 ISDs that have hard points that you have to destroy while the Empire gets fighter support.

Phase 4:
Assault the Executor - Work your way through the Executors hard point defenses before launching a final attack against the bridge. Final cutscene of course is Aryval Crynrds A-Wing doing its kamikaze run against the bridge.

Reward: Admiral Piett and the Executor shards

Alternatively: The Battle of Atallon (3 Phases)
Phase 1: Protect Konstanine's Interdictor from enemy A-Wing and Y-Wing Assault
Phase 2: Destroy 3 enemy escort ships (CR-90, Hammerhead, Bratok Gunship)
Phase 3: Engage General Dodonna's Vanguard and Commander Sato's Phoenix Home in battle
Cutscene: Sato's run into Konstantine's crusier and Imperial Bombardment of Atallon.
Rewards: Commander Sato and the Phoenix Home shards (Gives Rebels a Legendary capital ship)

Only if they add farming ships as something separate from farming characters. I don't want any new mode for ships if it means I need to sacrifice my character farms for it.
