Honestly, it still really sucks and it's quite annoying that we still have to farm 50 by 50 by 50 for our stun guns, eyeballs, all the gear ya know we just love soo much! Haha. Sarcasm. Anyways, I still just see soo much more from people about how CG isn't easing the gear crunch enough, oh and trust me I'm one of those people too, there is def some more work that can be done to help us that shouldn't hurt CG soo much where it hurts the most... But what I'm trying to say is that honestly it is easier to gear up now compared to how it used to be.. I had taken a 2 year "break" and I still remember how hard it was to gear, but since this past March up until now I've grown my roster very considerably..
I wanna know how y'all feel about the gear crunch. Like come on ladies and gentlemen, yes farming all this year sucks bad still, but I don't think anyone could possibly deny that it is much easier than it used to be...

But I can say it took 3 months to get the account to L85, another 3 months to get a single character to G12, and 2 months after that before I got G13 & Relic 5
I can also say that after 8 months of playing, I am constantly broke in Credits, Fleet Credits, & Purple mats in addition to the obvious FleetPurples/Omega/Zeta/G8+ crunch.
I also frequently have to go back & farm G1-7 items because someone at CG thinks its really cool to keep using L1+ Gear in combines for L10+ Gear.
Basically I've gone from thinking wow, what a cool SW game, to, WTH am I doing spending several hours a day playing this stupid game, & just quitting to go ride a bike in the nice weather.
So you know, take from that what you will about my feelings towards the gear crunch. Its basically painful to log in every day and almost zero fun.
Its not really a game, its shard collecting for months on end till you accomplish 1 thing, if your lucky, and don't destroy your phone in a rage throw into the wall.
Its about as fun as doing your taxes, every day of your life, while standing barefoot on broken glass.
Perhaps I'm being overly dramatic in my description........ then again....... I'm not so sure.
Did you forget that they eased the gear crunch by introducing flash events?
From the number of posts,i can assume you are a rly old player and have some resources at hand,i reached the 1 year mark previous month and its as the op is saying.Even if you focus one toon at a time,it takes ages to make him g12 with the 1/15 attempts at gear i am getting thats way below 20% anyone is claiming,especially on kyros.I never got more than 2 from 10 or 15 attempts.
Cool samples. You can see people's collective samples instead of made up numbers for something you didn't bother tracking.
However, it is more difficult now than it was last year at this time to get a character from g1 to g12 (without sacrificing in other areas of the game). The addition of kyros and g12 finishers has split energy spending from old bottleneck gear like stun guns. In addition, that old bottleneck gear was removed from fleet nodes. And g12 is only the beginning of relevance for most characters. So if you’re saying it’s easier now to get a character from g1 to g13 or relic 7 than it was to go from g1 to g11 in March 2017, then I’d have to disagree.
That’s mostly because you have the experience to know who to focus on for a squad arena team and fleet arena team. Getting 900 crystals a day isn’t the same as most other f2p players.
But as others have said, we need so much more gear than we used to, it's not just a couple of stun guns to g11 or 12 anymore
They're needed for g12+, g12 salvage needed for relics
Adding gear to Fleet nodes hasn't helped at all, I've still got toons and ships I need to farm and they aren't quick farms
I am in every social media,i dont care what 1 million samples are saying,i watched them,i only know that i get those drops,its like you telling me that 1 person won the lotto of 100 million euros,how that benefit all the other players knowing that hey you can win this.
By you telling me that I SHOULD HAVE more drop rates,dont change the fact that,I DONT and it should even out for everyone.This is constantly mentioned by many ppl,so its not only a handful and all the cg white knights mention the sample size of 1 peron which doesnt affect anyone else but themselves,couse if you do that many samples it eventually evens out,you can check the probabilities of black and red in a casino to see how this works,but a Player cant make 1 million attempts in the game,so ofc my **** sample size is small.

Good luck in your f2p account,i'll just add that i knew what to farm before i started even the game,i dont know how the guide will work now,but both shards,gear is very hard to come by,some are harder than others.
**** that sabine and later bossk was so very bad for me,i can add that others in my guild mentioned that bossk was rly hard to get,soo lets make some more consipracy theories,that nodes at 20 Energy are way harder to get than those with less,especially those at fleet nodes.
What do you mean you watched the samples, did you noted down the accumulation of your drops? If you did, please do share these rates that deviates from the norm. Low sample size or not, infinitely more meaningful than made up numbers. You are free to think if one looks for evidence that makes them cg white knights, a mere look at majority of drop rate trackers being at reddit will prove you otherwise. I didn't claim %20 is a good droprate or vice versa.
Loto and casino examples are rubbish. The droprates are much higher than any such correlation to make sense. It's not like we get 1 stun gun salvage per 10k attempts, do we? Instead we all keep getting things we need enormous amounts of which is what the topic is about.
I usually work on multiple toons at once to get them g11 or g12. I can do 2-3 toons in two months by not farming any gear - only stores and raid / TW / TB rewards. I don’t consider Malak since I can’t sacrifice GET.
At the same time I can get one toon from g12 to r5 in about 2 months. That requires all my energy.
There would be nothing left for toon farming if I didn’t get some crystals from fleet arena.

1st one,how can another persons sample size affect my drop rates?Arent they independent events?I told you before,just becouse you get 20% that doesnt mean many ppl do get them,couse they get way lower than that.So yeah i see other ppls drop rates,but i dont care couse they wont apply to me.
2nd one,if game isnt rigged,then can you tell me that after one year,i see that i get way less shards on 20 energy nodes and i get more on lower energy nodes if they all share the same drop rates at 5 attempts max you can do at everything?Or you wont agree to even this one?

If you have any doubts to the drop rate collect the data yourself and show us the data that your drop rate is different than what has already been show.
Planet Coruscant collected over 125k shard sims, and got a pretty solid confidence interval showing ~33.3% drop rate instead of 30. Short of a very large sample size, it's pretty hard to tell the difference between 30 and 33 however.

Depends on how you interpret the date,like i said in my example in black and red in the casino if you make 1 million tries,it eventually will even out to 50% chance.Again to reiterate,for every lucky person there are 100 unlucky ones.
You collect data from multiple sources,but that data arent showing us the 1 lucky person who gets the 30% drop rate and the rest 99 that get 0% drop rate.
That data wont show the 1 lucky person who gets 50% drop rate and the other 20 who get the average 30% and all rest 70 ppl who get way below the approved data.
What i am trying to say is,that ppl complain a lot about it,couse for many of us the drop rates are on par from those unlucky ones.Do you know i waited over 2,5 months to get 1 single omega from ship challenges?Show me that data of omega drops.Your data collected from a million players would be that i SHOULD get more than 1,but i havent and i am sure more are in the same boat as me.
Overall becouse its supposed to be rng,no not everyones playing with the 30% rule,some are lucky and some are very very unlucky to be below 30%,i cant wait for a million years till my rng starts to even out to that 30%,couse now drop rates are atrocious.
Also the data you want me to present to you is in all those threads that keep popping every now and then and from all the polls that are being made in last years thats saying gear crunch is the Number 1 problem of the game and you guys keep hiding behind numbers.
I doubt I'm playing "wrong".
People in my guild are shocked that I have BB8, CLS, JKR, Chewie, Falcon, Thrawn, Palpatine, GMY done already. I'm ready for Drevan this month.
If I had just focused on a single arena team I'm sure I could have gotten G12, 13, Relic faster, and also not had those characters unlocked.
But the game doesn't really reward you for a single team. It gets you a crystal income but the the rest of the game, TB, TW, GAC, etc, all push you to have multiple teams, heck even at L12 or so the game pushes you to have both a LS & a DS team at its earliest days.
Getting those teams up to G8-11 to complete the events above certainly put a drain on getting a single team to G12+.
I don't think I'm alone in having pushed for more than 1 team either. When I look at my Arena shard there are a couple folks that look very focused on just a couple teams but most of the shard has multiple Legendary characters unlocked by now.
As for the Journey Guide, I do look forward to using it for my last few events since I won't have to change focus each month based on what is coming on the calendar.
