Not sure they specified, which worries me that they'll throw together the mix-match idea of some territories of both. Don't get me wrong I want that at some point, buit I hope they just roll out a simple 5v5, no ships and start to work on new ideas for the map.

Not if you theorycraft well. You should learn counters.
have you seen cubs 1v1 tournaments? they pretty much always win or cause timeouts
