Simply put, why is this a thing? I’m 2 tokens short to unlock GL Rey.....

    Because Bill Gates could enter the game today, spend 1 billion and have r7 on all the characters. And then he would realize that he cannot have wat tambor, Kam and a couple other characters, zetas and r8 material to continue. You don't want him disappointed now, do you??
