I’ve been in a dead guild for several months. I’ve tried moving to a few other guilds, and, so far with the exception of the most recent guild I’ve joined, been booted out. I’m in the game every day, completing the daily tasks, doing what I can do to progress. I also participate in any guild event that I’m able to. If I get booted out of my most current guild, I’m considering creating my own but that leaves me this question: as a leader, would I be able to participate in guild events I start (pit, sith, tank, battles...) and receive rewards that I would have if I had stayed in someone elses guild? Or as leader, would that disqualify me from claiming rewards from events i would start?

Quick question: can you see in game chat? That’s the most likely reason you’re getting booted. People could be asking you to respond to something but you don’t see it.
If so, that's why you can't see any dialogue between guild members.
You need to use the Guild Recruiment sub forum.
Leader or not, being in a guild with only 3 or 4 active members is no way to play the game.

You can talk to players who are recruiting or looking for guilds.
Being a leader doesn't have any effect on the event and rewards for you.
Make a new guild is very intense and a lot of work to build it from the ground up without a network. Also you may not have a good grasp on what it takes to be a daily player in a guild if you are getting booted a lot.
Many guilds use a 3rd party app to talk and keep players in the loop, not joining that channel or app, can be a reason they will boot you.
Also, any others out there playing swgoh on an ipad? Does that make a difference?
Using an iPad doesn't make any difference in regards to the in-game chat
F2P has nothing to do with it.
yes doing all your daily activities is a good start. are you getting in your 600 energy for raid tickets every day? are you following the guilds plans and orders for each guild event?
nothing about guild activity involves spending, and very few if any guilds would push players to do so.
As for guild events, raids: in my original guild where there was only about 4 of us active, I did sith triumvirate, tank takedown, territory battles and the occasional rarely run pit. Never could enter a territory war. Obviously not enough active members to pull that off, so I haven’t a clue what that involves. Not sure about any guild plans. Wasn’t in a guild environment that supported that.
If so, that's why you can't see the guild chat
if you do not do at least 1 refresh with crystals you will not hit 600. any guild trying to keep members and stay active will require this.
I suggest you try to find a guild in the recruiting section. many guilds there will take anyone willing to learn and do the basics of guild life. without a good base of understanding and a network of at least a few players to help you start, I wouldn't recommend starting your own guild, but feel free to try.
before joining any guild, talk to the recruiter and try to get a feel for the setup, some guild have higher or lower levels of expectations and required activity in guild events.
yeah the 2 main reasons players get kicked out of a guild "for no reason" is usually not signing up to the 3rd party app they want you to use to communicate, or not hitting 600 consistently. They are the easiest things to not know about or notice as far as moving from very casual to an active guild that is trying to advance.
