Droid changed in DS Geo?

This happened to a guildmate. Ive never seen it happen before. Got a different droid instead of the normal one

    The platoons in phase 1 dictate the Droid you get to summon. Full platoons gets you the Rocket Droid, 4/6 platoons gets you the Commander droid as seen in the picture and 2/6 platoons gets you the B1 you are used to seeing.
