Just Raw Dueling Skill canon and books. Did not add mace windu as he was clearly the goat until he got blindsided.

Sidious completely destroyed both Savage and Maul at the same time, and seeing as how Maul alone has come close to killing Obi-Wan, Sidious is probably the best out of all the choices.

Can't really take the result of a teacher beating their own student to mean too much. They taught them what moves to use, and being sith, definitely would have trained something to take advantage of into their habits.
