Why did the game never progress beyond lvl 85 ?

Hi

I was just wondering today that the lvl progression stopped at lvl 85. I am not unhappy about this, given that the curve of leveling up sees exponential growth of credit and xp requirements. I am just wondering, because lvl 85 is such an odd number.
Did the devs ever comment on that ?

The game just STARTS at level 85 tbh. Going from 1 to 85 is just training to learn the mechanics of the game.

At one point in the game it was 50 max level, it went up slowly to its current 85 and then they decided adding Relic levels made more money (instead of gear levels). So now every 6 months or so we will get a new relic level which is increasingly more expensive to get to.

Don't believe what's being said here. The truth is that the Devs at CG stopped at 85 because they ran out of Fingers and Toes to count on.
