True damage query

Out of curiosity, does true damage use a character’s physical damage stat, their special damage stat, or is it calculated in a different way?

I suspect they could program it either way depending on the character, but the two characters (Droideka and JKL) I checked were both based on physical damage.

Hm. I wonder when tech (Bad Batch are all physical except for tech) deals damage, if it is based on hunter’s physical offense or tech’s special

120% of the attackers physical damage. See Hunter’s swgoh.gg entry for his leadership.
