Dark side 2 Hard Node characters

First Order Stormtrooper
Aka FOST

Overall rating: 2/4 (niche uses)
New player summary: skip

Why build: Required as crew member for KRCS which is required for Finalizer. Finalizer and FOST himself are required for SLKR. He can technically also be used to unlock BB-8, required for JTR (needed for JML and Rey) and Rey directly, but he’s a poor choice if only building 5 FO characters.
Where acquired: LS2B, DS2A
The good: He’s a second tank for First Order and a good option for some SLKR team comps that also use Hux and need to be all First Order.
The bad: He’s substantially worse than the other First Order tank, KRU.

  • Boba Fett
    Aka Boba

    Overall rating: 3/4 (solid character)

Why build: used either directly or indirectly for a long list of journeys - Chewbacca. Han’s Millenium Falcón, Executor, JML, Jabba, SLKR, etc… Also one of the easiest scoundrels to acquire for Credit Heist.
Where acquired: DS2B,Cantina Store, Fleet Store
The good: Good variety of utility in abilities, including an ability to prevent revives with his rocket, which also functions as a dispel. Debuff focus synergizes well with Bossk and Jango, two common early Bounty Hunter team leaders.
The bad: His zeta isn’t very good and unless dispelling a lot with his rocket he doesn’t do very much damage.

Not to be confused with Boba Fett, Scion of Jango.

    Boushh (Leia Organa)
Aka a lot of misspellings of Boushh

    Overall rating: 3/4 (solid character)

Why build: Required for Jabba. Can also be used in the Chewbacca mission.
    Where acquired: DS2C
The good: Lots of great abilities, especially with synergies under Jabba lead.
The bad: Light side bounty hunters can’t be used for territory battle bounty hunter missions. Unlike many other early Bounty Hunters she lacks a ship.

As of this writing she is only single shard drop and would be painfully slow to build. Once doubled she may make a better early game character.

Why build: Critical member of Shaak 501st clone squad that’s favored for the Ki Adi Mundi Territory Battle mission. Used with GAS team. Has a decent ship.
Where acquired: LS2D, Cantina Store, Fleet store
The good: His Zeta allows him to die in place of another clone and give the remaining clones a massive boost to stats (“clone bomb”).
The bad: 501st clones really need either Shaak Ti (a late fleet farm that requires a good fleet, though can be bought very inefficiently for crystals) or GAS (who requires Shaak Ti and a lot of other stuff) to really shine so they’re a challenging squad for early players. Without his team, Fives is unimpressive.

Why build: Easy Jedi from Galactic War currency to be used to rush unlocking Grand Master Yoda. Omicron for GAC can be used in a variety of teams. Galactic Republic Jedi filler for omicron QGJ teams, again in GAC.
Where acquired: LS2E, Galactic War Store
The good: Leadership can be used with any character. Just plain better than Jedi Consilar.
The bad: She’s a holdover from the earliest days of the game, where her powerful healing and dodge abilities used to be very impressive. Without her omicron, she has very little to offer, and her Omicron is only good in one game mode.

    Why build: Don’t.
Where acquired: LS2F, Galactic War store
    The good: nothing really.
The bad: No utility, depends on allies being droids, and just generally offers nothing except a bunch of critical hits for OK damage. Leftover character from early in the game’s history that’s been mostly forgotten, even as a joke.

5s carried me through a lot of early light side battles. His counterattacks slow and can hit twice. He single-handedly killed a lot of pve teams. Aquiring him through cantina store is rather fast. I alwayse focused on dark side toons and was in need of an mvp for light side battles. He was the choosen one and never betrayed me unlike his general did.
