This fight is ridiculous.
Stacked as usual with grenade spamming troopers who throw every round.
Just ridiculous.
Option 1 : grind for days to 3 star pass a fight 7 levels below your team or
Option 2 : spend money in game....
EA obviously are hoping for option 2
I however am not so naive, and expect there to be many of these stacked fights along the way.
Nice try EA but unless it gets fixed I will be moving on to better coded games.

Inb4 sycophants and "stoopid noob, CG/EA is perfect and ethical, no wai this is a tactic to get ewe to spend moneys"
There are so many better games out there for that.
Very easy to see its EA tactics for sales.
If you have played in a casino, the tactics here are very similar.
Throw you a nice learning curve then boom, steep climb and hope you spend $$$$.
What do you mean you're not into grinding? This game IS about grinding. Just beat them at their own game. Take some time to farm and strengthen your team and come back and get it done lol. Besides, you will be doing yourself a favor after all by boosting your team.
That's my team getting hammered but it gives me a chance to test myself and get better. Others have passed it and we will too in time lol.
Also can you have allies yet? get more allies, you get more social (lols) points which means more bronzium packs and...whilst I myself did not believe in them until like 3 days ago, you actually can get people and useful things, I have just got Mace and 5s out of bronziums
I don't get a chance to do anything.
1st wave is grenade spam kills one party member instantly
2nd wave 5 grenade spammers plus a healer
Chewies taunt is a waste of time against AOE attacks.
I had an allie with me, 1400 point, dead in wave 2 from 5 grenades
By this point I just quit after a continuos grenade storm, also if they kill member they seem to get timers back up to full for extra attack as I couldn't even get an action.
I spend $30 on packs, just a bunch of useless shards for toons I will never play, total waste of money.
All bronze packs through arena ( rank 60-70 ATM ) just gave me mats for gear, I've had 30 bronze so far, never seen a single toon.
Beyond a joke.
You guys should have played Mario Lost World and come back again to complain about 1 level you can't pass right now.
Has nothing to do with spending money, level up and try again. If you think Light Side is hard, Try Dark Side ewok battles.. I never understood the rights people think to have to blast through content without resistance. It's a game, it requires you to think.
If you leave, gl finding other mobile games that are better in this way.
I think you have missed the point.
It is about game balance.
4L normal is not balanced.
The enemy is level 30 yet can wipe out a geared level 37 team.
Can a player build a team that can do this? No
Can a player build a team on level 0+3 levels above enemy and defeat this fight? No.
To win this fight requires a much larger investment than should be required to pass this.
It is not a cantina fight, not an arena, not a hard level fight, it is normal and far below the level of characters fighting.
This argument, in case you didn't read the OP, is about EA stacking the fights ( and there are many more exactly the same as this ) in a bid to push the in game sales.
Mario last world /lol
You should have played EQ and quested for rune armor, oh... Forget that, you probably were not even born when that game was out. Toon dies, you lose exp and levels permanently.
Or maybe SWG when your Jedi died after taking a year to get one and gone forever, permanent death.
Back on topic, are the fights over tuned with the character makeup? Certainly are. Are there others that are well under tuned? Certainly are.. There are quite a few fights that have like two wimpy guys per wave or 5 guys that all just taunt as their first round action. if EA was obviously hoping for the later, then there shouldn't be any clearly undertuned fights either as they aren't going for the cash grab on those.
While I'm definitely not defending CG for not properly balancing all of the fights better, I think it's a bit of an overreaction on your part as well. Honestly when I encountered that, I just farmed gear for my characters for a couple of days and when I retried the encounter, my guys smashed the team and I progressed up till where I should be again.
In the thirties, it doesn't take very long at all. Enjoy the ride and try not to dwell on the speedbumps and potholes too much. Goodluck!
edit: and Yes, I'm talking about the FIRST everquest! lol!
Mario Lost World was just an example. You don't have to spend money on it, my friend is playing this for a month now and he passed the lvl with complete f2p acc. It takes time, sure but that's in every game where you hit a wall.
I'm from '85 so I doubt my age has anything to do with it.
EQ release 1999
Lost Levels Mario 1984
Anyway you might be stuck there for a few days, after that you can make it. If you still don't have luminara then farm her so it will be easier to pass.
Moved on to shadowrun
Give EA a good sniff fo me will you.
@EA, have a game mode where some people can just complete all missions with a click of a button. No drops, no rewards, game over for them. They can then be happy. Or can they?
Made me feel like I was playing Bad Company 2 all over again...
The short answer is, you will eventually pass it at a higher level. However, that doesn't make it any better.
Well as most people have holidays in december I'm sure that they will fix stuff in the next patch.
You are right tho, it does hinder progress but only gearwise. If you have to wait a few days extra before you can pass it, the lost time is actually not that much. Campaign clearing is least important of all.
If Nintendo created the Zelda 64 Water temple today, people would apparently flood the forums, demanding of them to make it easier?? Sorry, but this is not an issue. The level isn't broken, it's just very hard. If you don't want difficulty, there's solitaire to play on every computer out there.
Yes and no. There's difficult and then there's just plain silly. Now, Bloodborne's Bloodletting Beast is difficult. You need skill, patience and tactics to defeat it. Rushing in with your weapon swinging and hoping for the best will just get you killed. Fast.
4L doesn't work like that. You need to rush in and hope for the best (unless you've invested hundreds of $$$), because you can only use your light-side chars which, at this stage, don't exactly have the greatest synergies yet. So it's all down to luck - how much dmg will the nade spam do in the first round before you manage to squeeze in a heal. That's not the kind of difficulty you should face. If this is supposed to be the equivalent of a boss fight, why is it that the stormies are a greater challenge than the boss as such? And why does the difficulty level drop down so drastically in 5A? It took me quite a while to get through 4L while I had no problems three-starring 5A with the exact same team just moments later. That's not a good sign.
Its only the first round thats nasty. The third is a letdown
Why the heck is everyone quoting games from the past decade lol?
Nade spam damage will always be fixed. What can be changed is the heroes HP/Damage. Like you said in Bloodborne, the same applies here. You need skill, patience and tactics to defeat it. Rushing in with your heroes and hoping for the best will just get you killed. Fast. And please, there are plenty of games out there where the minions are stronger than the boss itself.
Level up and gear up the heroes. Skill them up as well. There's like 5 character levels until Stage 5 unlocks. That's enough time to improve the heroes to get past 4L. It's also not 'wasting time' training heroes just to get past 4L, but it is necessary to get past the later stages as well. No money needed just time (probably 3-5 days).
