Omega Fives Basic now follows (pre)upgrade description

  • It can't be both. Either he gets another attack if the target was already inflicted OR he gets another attack if he inflicts the speed down himself

Interpret the description either way you want but it has to be one or the other, not both.

Verb "is inflicted" is present tense, meaning when it is time to decide whether to attack again, determine whether speed IS down. Had it been a bug fix, it would have said attack again if enemy was inflicted with speed down." This is a nerf, and his ability now does not match his description. If they want to fix this bug, they will change it back.

Exactly. Fives was not bugged before. He is bugged now.

For argument's sake, even if you read it this way he shouldn't get another attack if the target 'was' inflicted with speed down when he shot at it.

Either way, it was bugged. He either has to get a bonus attack if the target 'was' inflicted when he shot it, OR if the target 'is' inflicted from him shooting it.

He was getting both, so it was bugged.

The way the description read there is a clear order of operation.
    1. Attack with chance to apply slow.
    2. Check for present status of slow.
    3. If slowed then attack again with chance to apply slow.

Doesn't matter what the terminology is. It's changed. Tooltip is now incorrect but you know how it works so quite complaining?

Yes he got nerfed. Meh. It happens. It's annoying (i have 7* gear 9 fives) but so what. Ain't gonna lose any sleep over it.

Certainly not gonna **** the bed over wording.
  • It really doesn't matter how you all interpret it - the devs have clearly announced how they interpret it and have fixed it accordingly. According to them it was a bug and now it works correctly. There's really no point in debating the semantics.
  • Oh well :/ time to Omega Kylo

Fives was never changed. It was a bug. Please see Jawa. This is EXACTLY how those types of attacks always worked.

So funny that it was a "bug" that turned everyone on to fives and gear him up and invest their 5 premium mats on him and then got "fixed" exactly when the first new premium clone was introduced and now made him useless on his own without buying the new one to make him useful as a part of the paid team. If you don't understand that, you are willfully ignorant of the past 6 months.

Finally another person that understand this has been done purely to please the whales and they get them spending again.

F2P or dolphins are left in the dark with a big middlefinger. It's another shameless switch and bait cashgrab. Don't you guys think it's a bit obvious he get's "fixed" simultaniously with the release of a new toon?

    1+1=2 and in EA's case it's 3 because $
