FOtP Gun Down... Fixed?

Today in GW, I saw something I've never seen since his change: FOtP applied Health Down, so I kept testing, and it kept landing... Seeming to now work, anyone else seeing this? Seems, despite his 0% Potency, it lands about as much as Offence Down now.

  • Hmmmm ... no, I don't believe I've ever seen FOTP land a Health Down effect. I did see an Offense Down effect recently, but wasn't sure where it came from. Must have been FOTP.
  • He's been routinely landing it in GW, even on Purple high-level guys for me.
  • Worked the me in PvP today too. The first time ever.
  • I ran 2 GW today. His Health Down stuck as often as his Offence Down. Hoping its not just a fluke.

This is a noob question but what is the difference between health down and DOT? And also health up and healing over time?

Health up/down actually change your max HP while DoT/HoT just heal or damage. HP up and down do nothing if you don't get hit/healed during it.

then does DOT do more if health up is on at the same time?

    Thanks for the answer :)

So your max hp as well as your current hp will restore in the same ratio when the effect is over?

Say for example, my hp is 100/100. I suffer health down (but no hit) and the hp becomes 80/80. So my question is when the effect is over will my hp be 100/100 again or just 80/100?

It fixes the ratio. So in your example, it will be 100/100.
  • It's always been working for me....... When it's not dodged :o

    It'll return to 100/100. It's basicly a damage modifier.

So going with easy round numbers:

    10,000/10,000 health
    Health Down effect
    8,000/8,000 health
    2,000 damage received
    6,000/8,000 health
    Health Down effect expires
    7,200/10,000 health

The 2,000 damage received became effective damage of 2,800 damage.
