Darth Maul Zeta

Looking over the zeta abilities, QGJs jumps out for sure. A lot of people predicting that Jedi will become the meta as his zeta leadership ability is unlocked. I am interested in what people think a good Maul led sith team would look like and if it may pose a threat to a jedi team given that many of the sith in this game are built to beat jedi.

  • I don't think the sith or anything else will stand a chance. That leader ability is just too OP. Sith will have just a small chance to dodge whereas the Jedi with foresight will have 100% chance to dodge. And they will almost constantly have it because they all get it again as soon as anybody dies, which will be your sith one by one. And they'll be faster than you and likely hit harder than you as well. I can understand the extra speed and damage, that was a good buff... but the foresight is too much. I love QGJ but that needs to be revised.
  • Yeah it pales in comparison with QGJ...

Unfortunate... yet maul is still a beast behind Boba

Let's do a hypothetically Jedi (qgj, Yoda, anakin, Aayla, and Kenobi) vs sith team (maul, Vader, palp, Dooku, and savage)
Due to speed boost Yoda goes first giving everyone tenacity up, palp, Vader, and Dooku debuffs are now useless and Vader's use as a whole reduces down to trying to land the unreststable 80% chance abilty block, dooku (assuming all mods are even distributed) goes first to do nothing since they all have foresight and tenacity up, next savage who would be forced to attack the one without foresight or waste a turn, then palp goes and best casenario hits the one/two without foresight then his unqiue kicks in damaging them which means they would have to dodge using foresight removing it. Then Vader and like before can only hope to land the 80% ability block. And finally maul could do his AoE however this is just for their side not taking into account that with the leader the slowest on their team is Aayla with 155 (assuming no mods) which is faster than all sith excluding Dooku and she can stun since if the person modding her is smart they'll give her crit chance to help and possibly calling an ally to assist, qui gon will assist and can dispell any positive effect they may give them selves (which would only be savage when he's hit), Yoda can steal those buffs, stun, and give himself more foresight, anakin can and will AoE and with the extra offense it'll hurt in addition to whenever you do get one of his allies below 50% health he'll do double damage on top of his 441 offense (again not considering mods) from the leader, and kenobi would reverse any debuffs you could inflict, grant even more foresight, call assists, and taunt if/when you land a hit.
So in summary, sith have no chance of winning against a competent qgj zeta Jedi team
Edit: forgot on kenobi's dispell if they have no debuffs (which is likely) they gain retribution slapping you back whenever you hit them
  • If you read this CG, Sith or empire need a mass dispeller

Not necessarily an all sith team. Add Sun Fac and B2 to 3 sith and you have a counter attack to clear foresight and an AOE with buff immunity to clear and prevent foresight.

You asked if a maul lead sith team could beat a qgj Jedi team, I provided an answer and explained how it would work

You forgot the part where Maul lead gives 15% TM at the beginning of each encounter.

Did you also perhaps forget about a 40k HP Sidious (with zeta) with 55% dodge vs. jedi?
  • I think the QGJ Zeta's foresight buff should at least only be re-applied when one the jedi/teammate dies, not the guy in the opposing team.
