Tenacity Up: Time for a new description

The "Always" is becoming more and more "always misleading".

Yes, it ended badly for my opponent, but still:

There's other mechanics in the game that work the same way. Anything with "can't" takes precedence.

I know what the abilities state, and how they work. The argument is the word "always". FWIW, you quoted the wrong abilities from the two toons who caused the negative status effects in the pics above. ;)

Correct, but the word "always" needs to go to be more truthful in advertising. If you state "always", by the very definition means "at all times". Words' lives matter.

I don't see an issue. Even if you always resist, it can still be bypassed.

tenacity up states the buffed character will always resist negative effects, if the negative effect cannot be resisted then it has no effect

No poop Sherlock. The issue at hand, and has been for a while, is the description: it clearly says "always resists". Truth in advertising says that's a lie. All I'm asking is for that word "Always" to go. It should only state "Resists negative status effects" or "Can resist negative status effects".

"Always resists" versus "Can't be resisted". Imagine if the "can't be resisted" could be resisted, and the uproar that would bring.

Agreed! should be "Always Resist negative status effects unless those effects can't be resisted or the negative status effect is Tenacity Down or this toon already has a Tenacity Down debuff or the negative status effects is caused by Anakin's Reckless Assault."

I think most of those have an explanation, except tenacity down

oops sorry forgot TMR.. the only non-status effect could be resisted..

"Always Resist negative status and Turn Meter Reduction effects unless those effects can't be resisted or the negative status effect is Tenacity Down or this toon already has a Tenacity Down debuff or the negative status effects is caused by Anakin's Reckless Assault or Turn Meter Reduction effect is caused by Stagger"

Or the simpler: "Always, but not really, resists negative status effects. Warning: This description may be entirely misleading."

    How about:
"Tenacity Up gives you the chance to resist negative status effects and turn meter reduction caused by chars no one uses anymore."

    Foresight is great as well:
"Gives you a chance to evade an attack, except the attack cant be evaded and in case of Boba Fett, your char even receives bonus damage for having foresight.
    Left by design.
The fixed payout times are the worst part of this game and makes it absolutely family-unfriendly.

It would be the same issue with foresight.

With foresight you are garuanteed to dodge the next attack but there are plenty of debuffs that can't be evaded.

    Vader's basic against Jedi

    Zam's evasion down

Grievous laugh thing in the tank raid.

Perhaps it should just simply say always*.

except for foresight should be technically dispelled before boba hits them.

qgj should technically dispel and then do dmg.

    wrong example.

It's the same with crit immunity and advantage. With advantage you will crit toons with crit immunity.

No you won't. crit immunity wins
Crit immunity is 999900 % crit avoidance
    Advantage is 200% crit chance.

So opponent still have 999700% crit avoidance.
Or attacker has - 9999700% crit chance
