If you account is somewhat new you will be in or soon meet a strong credit crunch.
In that I might forego levelling up toons before you are ready to gear them.
Later in the game when you can ensure a more steady stream of credits, sure thing, but level 50 really don’t mean you can use the toons for anything other than sticking mods on them.
Use credits for toons you are gearing and for mods, mods, mods.
