Totally agree. But just imagine you're somebody who doesn't usually spend crystals on cantina energy, you splash 300c to get 3 kyros. Way better off spending that on normal energy refreshes and going for the kyro nodes.
I've been having good luck with the drops so far. Don't remember the actual numbers but I was pleasantly surprised. Plus its a bonus, so its more than I would normally get from farming signal data
well it's droping more kyros than Tie Reaper blueprints for me. I've been farming it for more than a year now..

The drops are scaled to energy - are you farming the same node every day? It's nice to see the data you're collecting, but it's helpful to know the actual energy you're spending instead of how many attempts.

Day 1: 3 out of 10, 3 out of 7, 3 out of 8, 3 out of 7 & 3 out of 8.
Day 2: 0 out of 3, 1 out of 8, 2 out of 7, 5 out of 8, & 2 out of 7
Day 3: 1 out of 8, 2 out of 7, 4 out of 8, & 2 out of 8.
Day 4: 2 out of 7, 3 out of 8, 1 out of 7, 3 out of 8 & 2 out of 8
Day 5: 1 out of 2, 3 out of 7, 1 out of 7, 2 out of 8 & 1 out of 7.
Overall for the STAP 16 energy node I got 53 out of 173 = 30.6% drop rate.
Why wasn't Cobb Vanth shards a reward for the Krayt Dragon raid? Why wasn't Endor Gear Luke shards a reward for the Speeder Bike raid?

I got 6 kyros on 432 energy - yay, free kyros!
It's not a ton of kyro but bonus is bonus - I'll take it. It's more than I'd have got otherwise and I'm doing nothing I wouldn't do anyway.
Fortunately fewer and fewer judges are requiring prisoners to play it as a part of their felony sentences.
If you don't have Merrin at 7*, i believe you get bonus drops for her shards on cantina farms. If you already have her at 7*, you get the kyros.
