Darth Sidious and Emperor Palpatine, just like Anakin and Darth Vader, Stormtrooper Han and Han Solo, same character, different eras.

Just like Clone Wars Chewbacca is the Chewie from the Clone Wars and the Chewie that is with Han Solo in original trilogy is Chewie from a later date that probably will be an added character. (but not named Clone Wars Chewbacca).

There is also Luke Skywalker (the farmhand-version with a rifle) and Rebel Luke Skywalker (with lightsabre) in the game.

Same person, different eras in life.
