Has anyone been able to beat the R2-D2 in Tier 3? I have tried to beat him with a full 7 star Rebel team, Night Sister, as well as a Jedi team and have had no luck. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
I beat it easily with Datcha lead, Wiggs, TFP, Phasma, with only TFP at gear 11. Could swap of lot of them for others. Datcha is key, then heavy hitters.
However, daily rewards are not great, only 1000 credits and 20 ally points.
I do agree, to beat a level 90 just to get 1 Omega (and now 1000 credits) doesn't seem worth it. Same for the K2SO portion. I play tier 1 just to get the shards.
I had Yoda as lead to offset some of the debuffs (lvl 80, G9). I brought along mostly Jedis:
Luminara (lvl 85, G8) to heal and do dmg
Ahsoka (lvl 85, G8) to do crits mostly
QGJ (lvl 70, G8) for assist purposes
Rey (lvl 85, G8) for dmg and to get dodge that Yoda could battle meditation with.
None of my characters are max modded (lvl 15) yet.
Trivial on auto with all G8 lvl 77 Nihilus (L), Palp, Dooku, SiT, Sid.
R2D2 has no healing immunity or similar debuffs so Nihilus teams just shrug off whatever he does.
I was soooooo disappointed to wait like 3 weeks + just to get my 1k credits that I can't even buy a candy bar with and the 20 ally points which have been rendered useless (no tourney's even).

R2D2 on DS 9-D hard does a lot more damage per turn than this one.
I didn't realize this was a tough battle. Maybe I need to record it to show it being done?
Not even an issue. It did take a while, his animation is so slow even on 2x.
And what are the rewards? I'm curious..

Chopper they give you is OP and can take much damage while stunning R2.

Right now tier 3 isn't free, so I would understand if he got dissapointed with the event after buying the pack.
But honestly he should just do his research
